@@AgileStateofMind Thank you. I work alone mostly and have to complete about 50 tasks a day, on average. I like the idea of the scrum board even though it seems to be set up for teams. Your explanation about walking from right to left really made sense to me and I wanted to say thank you. Have an awesome day!
@@joedelarios1 That's a lot of tasks per day! Glad it made sense to you, I love walking the board. Now I find it really hard to follow a traditional Daily Scrum that revolves not around the task board but around the people's schedules.
Thank you! Using this with all my teams after watching this. So far they like it and no more 'I was in XYZ meeting yesterday, had a 1:1 with my manager, and took my dog for a walk' standups.
Excellent advice. I teach "walking the board" in my Certified ScrumMaster classes and the light bulbs that go on when students learn this is just amazing. Excellent work, Maria, you are doing Scrum a credit with your videos.
Thank you! Means a lot. Glad to be helping the teams all over the world to leave the three questions on the standup behind and find new ways of collaborating.
God damn this was useful! Really like the swim lane idea and the two questions. I'm new to being a Scrum Master and can't wait to try these out. Great work and thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge.
Hi Keith, I haven't, I'll give it a try. Although it has never been a problem of mine for the Daily Scrums not to happen every day. What's more, int he remote era, I actually think the standups are not always necessary on a daily basis.
With complete respect ! Rotate the facilitator, Isn't that deceiving Scrum ? Facilitator is always a scrum master, correct me if I am going wrong? Thanks
Let me answer with a question: who is the owner of the Daily Scrum? According to the SG2020, the Developers. And they decide on the structure of the meeting, not the Scrum Master. So in order for them to take the ownership of the meeting, my best bet is to let them facilitate it. Here is more info about it, very short paragraph: www.scrumguides.org/scrum-guide.html#daily-scrum What do you think?
Be careful with with expedites 👉🏽flow debt 👉🏽biais towards putting everything there I really recommend you deep dive into Vaccanti ‘s work on that (drink agile channel )
Hey Dawn, funny you say that! I used stickies only to show it better on the video. I have used Walk the Board with many teams and their JIRA boards. I don't think I have used it with any team on physical board. I think you might want to try if you see value in walking the board for your team.
