I visited Stonehenge for the first time in May, and I did see the barrow near it and wonder how important that person must've been to be within stones throw (haha) of it. The engineering of it is fascinating, especially the lintels. At least to someone like myself who works in civil engineering.
I would love to do that - teaching is starting up again at work so I probably won't have much time for filming excursions for a while, but I might look into going to Avebury next summer :) If I can, I would love to get back to Carnac in Brittany, which I visited a long time ago but have no footage of...!
Well, you pre-empted my question about the pineapple... 😆 The landscape around Stonehenge is so interesting - almost, dare I say it, more interesting than the stone circle itself in some ways...
