He deserves great honor by this present government of India, because Abinav Bindra was born very rich and his family sent him abroad for training and all expenses were borne by his dad company. But Mr.Neeraj Chopra, he is just farmer son and from humble village from Hariyana. His parents are true legends by giving his son to this proud moment for this country. How much ever we praise him , it is still less and he deserves 100 crores of award and I feel all states of India should contribute. The reason why I am saying this, this country only cricket players are rewarded with Add contracts and not any other sports. I got shocked after learning he was reaching world records from 2018 and no company came forward for any Advertisement for him. Javelin throwers conscious of fouling at crease cut down on their speed at release point which lowers their performance. If the thrower is allowed to throw freely at any point before crease and counted from the point of release(accuracy pinpointed by digital technology as in cricket), imagine how much potential unrestrained thrower can put in his effort? Here counting is taken at both ends and not from rigid crease 😁
I may be wrong but I feel that the current method rightfully evaluates only the throwing ability. Otherwise fast runners will have the advantage because the faster you sprint, the faster will be the initial speed of javelin.
