Very nice boat Todd, the fit a finish looks a lot nicer than Xpress. I sometimes regret not going with another aluminum bass boat instead of my flat bottom center console.

Man these boats are so well built. I own a brand new Xpress H20 bay and seeing this video there is no comparison. Most of the Xpress fit and finish is covered up by spray liner. The finish on those storage hatch lids looks like a glass boat and that extra plate for the keel is awesome; I’ve seen Xpress hulls split on the weld there. I know these are priced higher than Xpress but you definitely got a well built boat. You made the right choice 👍🏻

I have a 90 SHO and love it! From what I understand, it stands for "Super high output" and gives you the equivalent to 13 More Horsepower. I don't know if that's true or not, but the sound of my 90 SHO coming out the whole shot sounds impressive.

As someone who's owned a flatboat and bay boat, and fished a lot in both, and have fished from Pearl River to Venice to Big Lake, I can say that the transition to a bass boat was a little weird at first. I'm sure you've already taken the Avid out, and I know the first thing that kinda got me was sitting so low to the water while on plane. But sitting down in that soft chair is so much better than standing in a bay boat, at least in terms of being comfortable. That and the boat is overall more of a fishable boat, especially if you're only fishing by yourself or with another person (or two). Cable steer foot pedal trolling motors are the way to go and that Ultrex is the ultimate.

Congrats 👏🎉 Man, she is gorgeous 😍 I'm going to their website to look for a Center Console version of that exact look, and power, such beautiful colors too It has a 150HP engine on a 19 footer⁉️ Dangit, I just looked on their website and they don't offer a 150 HP on a 19' on their Center Console. Same weight and length, a little smaller fuel tank on the Center Console. I wonder why, essentially it's the same dang boat⁉️ This type of difference between same vs same really irritates me bad!! The Center Console buyer might want a 150HP engine, since so many are used in the ocean😠 But man, she will fly across the water!!!! Best wishes on the new boat👍🌊💙

No,I mistakenly mentioned T-Funky but upon recall it was on Bayou Lacombe actually if ya ever head N from Main St there was fine yacht,Southern Miss,and this Avid was docked next to huge and fine yacht. Very nice boats,indeed.

As someone who's done a lot of work on boats and rebuilt a few, I can tell you that the build and craftsmanship of this Avid is pretty damn good. A lot of boats are pretty on the outside, but once you open up the bilge area or the console you get to see where detail was overlooked. That's not the case with this Avid. Very impressive.

@Aul Fishing better fit and finish usually is good for everyone but not for me. i need a boat i can trash, there’s a reason i run a tracker. if i ever got a “nice” boat it’d probably be a Ranger Intracoastal, but a rebuild and not brand new. If Avid or Ranger wanted to work out a deal then I’d consider it but the Tracker is punching way above its weight class and you know the old saying “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” lol

I'm diggin this boat! I like xpress, but this one seems a step above. Only thing I see that might be an issue is the steering wheel covering up the screen on the depth finder. Other than that, I'm sold on avid. 🤙

Man thats a beautiful boat, congrats. I was really leaning towards an xpress x19 in a similar layout with the seadek. This avid boat looks every bit as good imo. Xpress was having issues with their dry storage getting water in them, (not sure if they fixed it or not yet) and your dry storage looks better designed. Opinions and thoughts between the two boats in general? What speeds you getting out of that 150hp? This boat is a head turner and has me second guessing that xpress.

just bought a new 19xb with yamaha 150 sho. they prop it with a 13.25 x 18. i think they got it wrong. i can only reach 42mph at 6000 rpm. i reading that this boat will do 60-61 mph. what prop do you have and what is your best speed. thanks for any info.

Bro, thanks for putting together this awesome review. I have a Nitro glass boat. After seeing these Avid rigs, I've been thinking about going back to aluminum. I live in Thibodaux(grew up in Galliano), so I have the benefit of fishing the swamps for bass and sac a lait, and still close enough to Reds and trout. I think this is the perfect South LA rig. Maybe I missed the dealer somewhere in the video, but where did you buy from? Also, I know you're not an Avid boats spokesperson, but do you know of any dealers who can rig them with Mercury outboards, or is just a Yamaha factory deal? Nothing against Yammies, I just really love my Mercs. I guess I evolved into more of a spillway bass fisherman over the years. I know all of my buddies down the bayou still love Yamaha!

Todd, I purchased a 2020 Avid 19XB from a guy in Napoleonville, LA and noted a few differences between my year model and yours. My seatbacks are screwed to the vertical cockpit wall so I don't have any space behind my seats for a net or paddle. I'm going to remove the carpet and install Marine Mat (Seadek competitor). Also, the hatches are pop-riveted not bolted. When I remove the carpet I will remove the rivets and install bolts if I have the clearance. After driving a center console for so many years I find it difficult to see forward in the 19XB with the trolling motor and chart plotter. I may lift my seat 3 or 4 inches when I change to the flooring and that should give me a chance to create space behind the seats. I wanted to ask if you would tell me what propeller you have (diameter and pitch) if you would be so kind. I think my 21-T 15 is too high a pitch. I'm also adding a Permatrim foil to minimize porpoising. I'm sure that once I get it all sorted out I'll really enjoy this boat. Your videos like this one help me visualize what mine will look like after I change the flooring. Thanks

@@jasonbeasley826 I don’t know how that could be verified but I will say it’s a solid boat. This is my first bass boat, I had a series of center console before, so I’m still adjusting and learning about this format. As far as space and storage it’s wonderful. Mine has carpet and I’m ripping it out and going to marine mat. Never like carpet l. I have the 150 SHO and it’s faster than it needs to be. A 115 would be plenty if you are trying to save $$. Performs better with a full tank. I was burning the gas it came with and at 1/4 tank I found trimming a challenge to avoid porpoising but that seemed to improve on last trip with a full tank. It’s a bass boat thing but I find seeing from driver seat a challenge with the low seat and all the gear. Get the iPilot trolling motor. Mine came with Fortrex and I’m switching it out to a Terrova iPilot.

Time to invest in another boat… I like to idea of aluminum… I did have to get my fiberglass fixed a couple of times. As far as the ride- I’d suggest move your tackle around. Much if that weight can effect your ride. I know the center placed gas tank should help some. But try placing most of your tackle up front- see if that helps. I appreciate your response. God bless. where is your transducer mounted for your sonar on the bow? also is it easy to drain your fuel tank if you have bad gas? thx

Hey Todd, you didn't say much about the trailer. If I recall correctly, you had one that had a swinging front to reduce the size. (to fit in garage). Did you get one/do they offer one like that? BTW I fish a 1983 Monark aluminum bass boat 16 footer that has been really great, but my new heavy 4 stroke engine really makes the back end sit low (just like ya'll talked about.) I was able to move two fuel tanks to the front of the boat by hinging the front wooden deck. It took me quite a bit to adjust my Venture trailer axle, tongue and winch support to get it to fit on one side of the garage. Is the 19 footer too long to fit one one side in your garage? It sure is beautiful and have seen later videos showing how much you like it!

I have to put it in my garage on an angle, but it fits with no problem. Yes, the trailer tongue swings out the way. If I hadn't gone with that option I would have had to take a saw to my garage door

I changed things up a bit. I moved the utility stuff out of the starboard side insulated box, and put it in the port side dry storage, which was mostly empty. I'll use that insulated box as the fish coffin

I live in SE Alabama and (like you) fish the lakes as well as the bays. I was curious how your bass boat handles the brackish water. I am looking to purchase a new boat and am torn (for the same reasons you mentioned) between a bay and bass boat. I have a fiberglass bay boat, but hate having no storage.

@@MarshManMasson haha dont feel bad, i had my hull ID on the side my boat instead of the registration #... smh for over a year and half, was stopped/checked numerous times, no one said a word to me haha. I only asked because i assumed there was another thing i had wrong. Cant wait to hear how you like that front mounted fish finder. It would be nice to know im about to be land lol. As of now i just put the trolling motor down all the way and wait till i hear it hitting the bottom

My buddies think I'm crazy for not getting one, but I'm generally not a fish-in-one-spot angler, and when I want to, my spot-lock works fine for that. I may opt for a power pole at a later date, but we'll see

I got the same exact boat except with carpet, wish I would have got the Seadek. I wonder if I asked the factory or Phillip if they could swap out for a price?

Have you had any issues using a fresh water trolling motor in salt water? I was about to make a purchase and the fresh water units are slightly less expensive.
