Glad you like it Ruth, I just posted the last song I had from this album, it's one he wrote that Buck Owens had a big hit with "Waiting In Your Welfare Line". Mikey
I WAS NEVER ENAMORED WITH GEORGE JONES' VOICE, BUT I DO LIKE HIS RECORDING OF THIS, ALONG WITH "IT WAS A GOOD YEAR FOR THE ROSES", "AS LONG AS I LIVE," AND MOST OF THOSE FANTASTIC DUETS THAT HE RECORDED WITH GENE PITNEY. YET BECAUSE I HIGHLY FAVOR NAT STUCKEY'S VOICE, I HAVE TO RATE BOTH SINGERS VERSIONS AS A "DEAD-HEAT TIE." IT'S AMAZING HOW ONE SMALL THING CAN SLIGHTLY DEVALUE A RECORDING, BUT FOR SOME REASON NAT OMITTED THE WORD "AND" THAT PRECEEDS THE PHRASE "...WALK THROUGH THIS WORLD WITH ME." HE SANG IT AS: "COME TAKE MY HAND, WALK THROUGH THIS WORLD WITH ME." LEAVING OUT THE "AND" JUST DOESN'T SOUND RIGHT TO ME.😵💫🥴😟
