Walked to the End of the Gulf Pier and Saw Something Crazy Email- brant@adoorrealestate.com store- www.beachbumoutdoors.com my sunglasses www.waterlandc...
Pier fishing can be so exhausting! I used to enjoy it. But as l get older, l gravitate more towards wading the flats. Or goid ol' fashioned surf fishin from a folding chair. I'll usually hit the Gulf Pier once when the Cobia run. But that's about all l can take. You MAY catch me dippin a Sabiki rig on occasion. Just long enough to fill a minner-bucket. But that's about all the pier fishing l can endure these days.
@@CainCrafts I figured that. But the steel and concrete piers could handle a lower deck. Some of them are way up there, where if water got that high, were all in trouble.
I found your channel last week. Great stuff. I'm going to Florida in the fall, and wat to do some Gulf fishing. I'll be more south, below Tampa/St Pete. Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks for the videos..
Go Brandt! Stoked I found the channel! Been digging it and making me miss Florida and my father in law that passed away earlier this year. He loved fishing Florida and I always enjoyed going with! Enjoy kind sir! Keep up the great work!
i have visions of there is something about marry when the pier is that busy , if you have never seen there is something about marry i would encourage you to see it , funny movie , keep the great videos coming ...
As someone who lives in North Eastern Ontario, Canada, this type of fishing is totally foreign to me. Fishing with all those people around, having to pull up a big fish up a massive pier, seems like a good way to get a hook in your face. What are those big piers for any way? For people to fish off and look at the ocean? I have never even been close to the ocean. It looks like everyone was having fun. Either way, hope you all have a fun day.
You know the old saying...There's only two kinds of fishing: good fishing and great fishing. Great fishing is when you actually catch something. Now, that was some great fishing!
What's the etiquette when you hook up with so many anglers on the pier, and as a uk angler it's refreshing to see a right handed angler with the reel handle on the left 😂
Your the guy I hate a runner always in everyone's way its open water does not matter if you run around let your drag do the work whether your here or 100 feet away does not matter
Loved fishing the Gulf State Pier. Caught a lot of Spanish mackerel, spade fish, sheepshead, red fish, and white trout. Caught one big hammerhead there which I had to cut off after getting it beside the pier and lost one nice king mackerel there also. Fished it for years when I was a teenager while my family was on vacation. Hate that pier was damaged like it was in that hurricane and hate even more that they are taking forever and a year to fix it. Some of the best fishing I have ever seen every time I went there.
Love your stuff. Keep it up man. I live in upstate New York freshwater only, I prefer saltwater fishing. I only get to take a vacation down to the ocean 2-3 times a year. Your content really makes me jealous lol 😂.
Haven't seen a blitz like that in a long time. Last one I was able to participate in was probably 6 months ago. It lasted about 4-5 hours and I'm sure that I saw a couple hundred come over the rail. I landed 6 and lost as many. Great day on the pier. Hopefully will see you and/or the others out there one day.
@@kritik33 It would appear that way, unless you knew what he was doing. The fish he was catching, they're all fast moving and strike even faster. He was simply replicating what appeals to those fish, and a fast moving bait-fish is what they hunt naturally. Kings, Bonita, Mackerel and yes also the Sharks strike fast and hard.
I'am sure you seen the photos of hooking a fish> Then one comes along and eat it, then a bigger one comes along and eat that one, and a bigger one yet come and bit them all. THIS REALLY HAPPEN
FYI if flipper grabs your fish.. Just release the bell he want do anything until you put pressure back on the line.. It might take several tries but you can get your fish in and save your lure.. Try it.
Hey brandt, that silver combo you're using for those Bonita's , what rod and reel is it. Thanks for your videos, I kinda see you as the big bro to the other guys, oh well...
I've caught some Bonita in the Gulf, grilled it 5 minutes later. Excellent fish for a meal. Was on the stern of a 42ft Thompson, no rod or reel, just rubber squid an line with electrical tape around my knuckles. Good Times for sure!😃😃😃
Thank you, Brant! You show some wonderful Saltwater fishing and keep it faith based. No foul language or anything like that. In this evil and deceitful world, it is a pleasure to watch your videos. I also appreciate your humility. A fruit of God’s Holy Spirit that not many possess. Beach bum and bearded Brad are also fine people! God bless you and yours.
Just got home from 3 days of fishing the pier. Catching Bonita 5 at a time on Sabiki rigs. Fun until your arms get sore. Back to marsh fishing in LA. Hey where did the pompano go.
We spent all of last week on Navarre and Okaloosa. It unfortunately was absolutely terrible all week. Go figure, the week before we show up for our week long vacation the fishing is fantastic, and the day after we leave they start catching kings and cobia. But nope! Not while we're there!
I would love to go to the pier, but too many people. Don’t want to tangle my line with them. Used to go to 3 Mile bridge when it was open plenty of room to fish. Keep up the great work.
