I’ll take this version of Walker Texas Ranger in reruns any day over the whinny, karate less version of Walker that’s on TV now. That reboot shouldn’t even be named Walker because it’s NOTHING like this awesome show.

@@liamcoyne2137 I haven’t even watched the new one because they took out all the things that made it unique. No karate in the new one, and it has too much emotional stuff in it. I like Jared Padelecki cause he was in Supernatural. But he was completely wrong for this role. They should’ve cast a real martial artist in my opinion.

What I like about this fight is that Walker is technically outmatched, and he knew that. He does have a variety of martial arts skills and training under his belt, but Lazarus should’ve been his endgame. He’s faster, younger, and in a lot of ways deadlier. The reason Walker won is because he held out and didn’t get arrogant or cocky as Lazarus did. He stayed on the defense and exploited what windows of opportunity he could in Lazarus’ offense. In this case, a good defense is the best offense, and Walker adapted his to this situation. You could tell he was tiring out and Lazarus was getting frustrated, but he reserved his strength for when it mattered most; the final blow.

lazarus defintely one of the very very top of walker's enemieis in one on one hand to hand fighting. . i would say the other few might be the navy seal guy on the roof, Bushard, the son of the guy that trianed walker, the hammer, and thre was a handful of others.

That guy may be a martial arts master, but Chuck Norris is a grandmaster, that's why he won. Not just as Walker, Chuck Norris is a multi grandmaster of several different martial arts in real life. Anyone who's read about Chuck Norris and his achievements knows that.

you can clearly see that ranger walker and lazarus hate each other's guts...like loathe each other...it is personal here. Also important to note, that in real life, this dude would wipe the floor with norris. over 20 years younger but also in far better shape. good to see him get some painful hits on walker and to see walker winded. his style of fighting is pretty badass.

@@Zurround It's a long story but if I recall correctly, this Lazarus fiend harmed and maybe tortured and possibly killed a few people close to Walker. Lazarus was a freelance thug and assassin and was under orders from a very powerful kingpin like criminal in the Texas area played by Michael Ironside.

Walker's friends or coworkers Lazarus harmed testified against some high level mobsters or criminals. Or they reported against them and the Ironside crimelord with big connections was sought out and hired by the mobsters and then Lazarus (the most skilled assassin in the area) was enlisted to take care of them.

I have the whole series on dvd. This is my favorite Walker fight. His one-on-one fights are always the best. The second best fight in my book is the one where he takes on James Raymar on that rooftop.

@@pjmurray91 they had them at Walmart and several other retailers. I got all of them at Walmart except for two of them. One I found at a video store in another city and another one I got at a place that used to be pretty popular called hastings. I don't remember the name of the store out of town but all the other seasons I got at Walmart.

I've been doing a little research on the actor playing Lazarus. If I am correct his name is Roger Yuan and in real life he is a grand master at martial Arts he is a stunt man trainer to the movie stars plus he does his own stunt work in television and movies when called upon to act. I am very impressed with Roger Yuan and his martial Arts skills as a grand master

In my opinion. I wish the walker reboot had the original walker the same cast of rangers. Chuck Norris Walker always picked out a great team of actors gueststars even notable stunt fighter actors like Lazarus. To me without the original walker cast its just nowhere near the same. Thats the reboot alot of us hoped for.

Technically in his final martial arts movie in 2005 the cutter he lost to Daniel burkhart in one fight scene and then beat him in another front scene later in the movie. So he technically lost twice but lost once and won once in the same movie
