I lost my husband of 16 yrs to Cancer. I was on my way to work a couple weeks ago and heard this song for the first time. I started crying uncontrollably and thought this was my husbands voice telling me not to feel guilty for falling in love again. This is the best song out today for women who carry guilt of finding love after such a terrible loss. THANK YOU!!!!!!!

I didn’t know he was married when I first heard the song, so my initial reaction was to the lyrics, not the content of the video. If you listen, it’s basically a letter to the person who loves her next IF the day came that, for whatever reason (divorce, death, life happening), HE was not there to love her, these are things he wanted that person to know about her, maybe things he learned the hard way, or things he learned were important to her, and, because He loves her like he does, he wants her to be loved in the best way, maybe with less hardships, idk. That’s how I I interpreted it. It’s a beautiful expression of continued love to someone you may not be able to have around anymore, but will never stop loving. I definitely know a bit about that.

Same, 23 years married, 5 children. I lost him on Valentine's Day. There are some losses you never heal from and are never the same again. It would have been easier to lose half my limbs than to lose him.
