Was at both games, and I have never been so hot in my life. I live in MB and am a Gamecock fan, but I pulled for CCU until that weekend. They moaned and bitched about every little play that went against them. I am no longer a CCU "casual fan". That being said, notice Walker's fling of the bat, well he did that because Carolina was irritated at CCU's home run trots and flings of the bat during the earlier part of the game. Coastal had about 4 home runs and did their trot each time.
There was more Coastal fans there than USC fans because Coastal tried to sell out the stadium before Carolina fans had the chance to start buying them. Hell there was a ton of USC fans in the parking lot.
Gotta love the guy at 2:00 with the Clemson graduate hat. There were a lot of Clemson idiots wearing the free Coastal Carolina t-shirts at that game. Losers.
I live in Conway and USC fans got the majority of the tickets. Tickets were supposed to go on sale (online) at 5pm but never did. USC fans moaned and bitched about the tickets until there was an official count and USC fans got a large majority of the tickets due to there not being a limit per individual. USC fans bought dozens of tickets at the time if not hundreds, then stood outside scalping tickets with ink pens. It was ridiculous. It was a ticket disaster due to MB not limiting tickets.
USC fans try to knock CCU but no other team played USC better except one game in the CWS. USC would have NEVER beat CCU in this series is CCU had not lost their 2 best pitchers due to being sick and then a collision knocked out CCU's 3rd best pitcher. That is why this play ever happened. Gilmore did not have a pitcher in the bullpen to send in for relief w/ the 3rd game in mind. If CCU had won this game, USC would have never had the run they've had. I love both teams but I pulled for CCU here.
