This is the exact model that I broke. After years of storage I went to raise the blade and it seemed to be moving but with some resistance, about when I realized something was off - it snapped inside. .....so did my heart. tHanks for the detailed video! This will help
Bummer! I think that's ultimately what did me in on the lifting mechanism for my first one as well. Not sure if it was me, a previous owner, or a combination of the two but I was frustrated, given how uncommon these saws are. Hopefully you can get yours up and running again too! I'm still waiting on sandblasting for more progress on mine
@@MosquitoMade 1165...is it? I think that is the model you said we had. I haven't seen many at all. My hope is that my saw will work again one day.....I'm not giving up just yet. tHanks for the videos. ( I've got a substitute saw working at the moment. My floor plan isn't finished just yet but I've gotten a couple compliments from that video. That was nice...Long time in the making)
@@Dancing_Alone_wRentals Yup, 1165 is this model. There was an 1162 that was a sort of an open stand version has many of the same internals. I was able to get a few parts from someone who was parting theirs out, and they're identical. Also, Trunions are interchangeable between these and the 1180 table saws as well (my current user saw is an 1180 until I finish with these restorations)
