It had been ANZAC day, and I wanted to record the parade in Melbourne - by then, however, I was too late and wasn’t able to see it. Not being one to give up, I had decided to walk around and record the CBD’s lively alleyways - which had grown exponentially in fervour due to the current holiday at the time. The space, whilst tight, had a cheery atmosphere as families and friends gathered to feast in the small, easygoing restaurants. Graffiti shone brightly on the walls and the sounds of idle, relaxed chatter reverbated throughout the alleyway.
