That area does remind us of Charleston a little bit, some of the areas gave "Rainbow Row" vibes, even saw a little area that reminded us of the Charleston City Market. Love that yall included some great facts and info about the buildings and area. This was a really great video, enjoyed all the stops you went to and people you spoke with.

Those green doors you were standing in front of I think was the Cristal Shopp. I used to work there. It's a shame to see so many stores closed . Best hamburger in the world was at Crazy Cow. I don't think it's there anymore . 🌴 Thanks for the tour. I lived there between 1973 & 2007.

honestly wish main street wasn't so full of jewelry stores. So much more could be down there in that prime real estate

Just a correction st thomas became a US territory in 1917 not 1972.

we got a vehicle for our trip - do you suggest just walking everywhere?

No we strongly suggest getting a vehicle. It allows you to see more of the island and is more cost efficient. Only the town (Main Street) area is walkable.

Beautiful place nice footage but way too touristy for my taste way over commercialized. Guess there are other islands where commercialism on steroids is dialed back a bit. Charlotte Amalie needs to find a balance between being overly touristy and a place where the natural beauty of the place can sweep you off your feet,
