grew up in miami i remember downtown and brickell in 2005 and compared to today it’s like night and day. really becoming an international city. love dade ❤
Miami skyscrapers are art….they’ve always been so amazing and beautiful, and I don’t usually say that about skyscraper albatrosses, but the white with the turquoise glass and the shapes and designs…pure art. Last time I was at the Port of Miami there was no tunnel, of course that was 24 years ago. LoL!
What a great video! I love it when you explore the Miami area. And it being a walking tour made it a great surprise! Stopping to eat at some local favorites would have been a nice bonus! Cheers to you, Robert!
If it weren’t for these walking tours of Miami, I would have never have known so much about this city both historically and aesthetically. Your videos are always top notch. Thank you so much for making them!
So nice the life you have now compared to going to an office building every day. Takes a lot of courage to do what you did. Congratulations on your choice.
Fantastic walking tour of Miami. We really liked the cat and dog walkway. How cool is that! We will have to visit sometime in the future. Thank you Robert.
Robert, so enjoy all of your videos. They helped me survive my travel it h during the dark ages of Covid. We were in Miami last june and i was struck how beautiful all of the artwork on the various sides of buildings were. Would love to see a video of those amazing paintings
Fond memories of hanging around Bayside decades ago. We visited the nearby Hard Rock and even went out on their catamaran for a cruise, we visited little Havana and enjoyed tasty food and strong coffee! We watched some gentlemen playing dominos. Also, I believe Diehard or some other movie was being filmed as there was a jet of some kind dangling off the roof of a high rise on a crane.
I am loving these local videos. Not everything Hass to be in a camper. I always wondered why you didn’t show us more around your hometown. More restaurants. Show us the barrio.
Great tour, last time I was in Miami was the early 1990’s right after hurricane Andrew hit, wow, it looks so different now. I barely recognize anything. I went to elementary, middle school, high school and college in Miami.
Miami Beach mang! I think I'll follow your tour today once I get out of Jackson pharmacy. I've never been down the venetian. I'd like to do the whole beach on ebike. Thanks for the tour and music ❤
Robert this is an outstanding video that highlights the architecture and art of Miami. Any chance you can post or share the map of this walking tour? Thank you!
Hi Robert - you look good in black. Thanks for the walking tour. The hubby followed along with a map on his phone. How did you capture that Google Earth clip? I understand if it's top secret.
I loved the walking tour in this video....I have a time share on South Beach and I am definitely going to venture out on my next trip there. So many very interesting points that I had no idea of.
Oh wow Robert! Miami is beautiful. It’s been 35 yrs! I need to go visit for a few days & catch a cruise ship from there. Fun! So glad you decided to do this video of your home town. A lot of the more average income people are struggling to live in FL these days due to high insurance & of course the housing costs are thru the roof.
Thank you Robert great movies (1-2 ) i miss south florida , lived there 1971 to 74 and back 1978-1981;;; hope to comme bac nexte year and see how much it as changed
Such a beautiful area. You'll have to take pictures and show them to the residents of Slab City next time you go. They'll be running in back of your RV begging for you to take them along. 😁
Hey Traveling Robert, we are full time RVers and Florida is home base, we go South a lot, and my hubby used to DJ as well, ☺️ we should meet up sometime/somewhere ?
While on vacation there in the year 2000 or 2001, my then Wife and I did a similar walk. American Airlines Arena was basically brand new and we attended a Miami Sol WNBA game there, still have the bandanna they gave out that night with admission. Then we walked across a huge bridge to Miami Beach and checked out from afar the cruise ship we were getting on the next day. RCCL Majesty Of The Seas.
Our family moved from Miami to northern Florida in 1981. I've popped back down over the years and it's amazing how much it has changed, downtown in particular. Looking forward to the Miami Beach part. Hope you show the art deco hotels, especially the Fontainebleu.
I enjoyed the video. Miami seemed cleaner, safer, & more walkable than I expected (not ever having been there ). Our favorite restaurant in Naples was a beachfront place on Marco Island named Stiltz so you picked a good place to end the video. Wonder where the next video will begin🤔 Stiltzville I would imagine.
Thanks Robert, I love the Venetian Islands, I lived in Miami Beach in the 70’s and would bike ride thru the islands. Some times to the Omni mall downtown.
I used to live in Sunny Isles Beach and I could see that Miami skyline from my 15th floor apartment on a clear day. High-rise living is a pain in the butt though, would never do it again.
That walking keeps you in sharp! Lol! In shape when I was in Miami at the meetup a few yrs ago I took public transportation and took tours and went on my own too! I always ask the locals where the best places are to visit! 🇺🇸😎☘️⚓️
