A misty murky morning walk with permission along the extra 513 meters of cleared trackbed from Truthall Bridge towards Helston. From the new boundary you can see the Viaduct in the distance.
Great work and real progress. The nearby viaduct area is something very special. The majestic viaduct itself is special of course, but the grand horseshoe leading up to it is also very special, creating a stunning amphitheatre for passengers to enjoy, a bit like the curving Glenfinnan viaduct on the West Highland Line. With a skilful bit of tree clearing on that horseshoe, the views from the train should be absolutely gorgeous!
They are making great progress. It must be such a lot of work to clear the track bed. Then there is the cost of getting the track and then relaying. Be lovely to see an update when the track is relayed. Great video.
Hi, The plan is to keep working toward Helston or as near to the original station as possible after crossing the viaduct. No plans for a temporary station are in place as far as I know.
Why are you talking in metres and even with the incorrect spelling as well? I thought and even to this day distances are measured in chains and yards on railways, no?
