Baden-Baden is a wealthy spa town at the edge of the Black Forest in Baden Württemberg. The town is located south west Germany, near the border with France - around 1 hour by car from Strasbourg.
Baden-Baden is famous for thermal bath and the Kurhaus complex (built in 1824) with the Spielbank (casino). That is the place where also Dostoevsky gambled during his 5 week stay which makes Baden-Baden a popular destination for Russian tourists.
On this walking tour of Baden-Baden we see the centre of the town, the spa area and some shopping streets. We also visit the main sights like the Spielbank and Trinkhalle and get an impression how Baden Baden looks like outside the main tourist season in fall.
In the end we walk through the park up to the Statue of Dostoevsky.

schönes video. leider teilweise zuviel im Kreis gegangen- dadurch das highlight verpasst: die wunderschöne Lichtenthaler Allee mit uraltem Baumbestand und das legendäre Park-Hotel Brenner- sowie das Burda-Museum.

Я очень люблю пешие прогулки! Казалось бы, с оригинальным звуком, видео может показаться скучным и унылым, но в том его и прелесть, что создается ощущение погруженности в атмосферу города, его характера. Если просмотр подобных роликов совмещать с тренировкой на беговой дорожке, то реалистичность усиливается и новые впечатления совмещаются с пользой для здоровья. Спасибо автору за то, что делится с нами возможностью изучения мира. Отличное качество изображения 4К!

I'm happy that I was able to visit so many places over the past 2 years when international travel was rather restricted. This year there are 30+ videos from Germany coming as I'll try to get more Europe and possibly the Americas or to Asia again later. Good point as Dostojewsky is the reason for the popularity of Baden-Baden among Russian tourists. Maybe though the casino didn't want gamblers to remind them about Dostojewsky's losses 🤔

@@poptravelorg The novel "The Gambler" Fyodor Dostoevsky wrote about himself. And it would be understandable why he stands at the casino without shoes.
