Wow amazing detailed explained video really brought me back 38 years you are amazing person words can not explain how much this video is appreciated. thank you
Thank you very much Ahmad, brings back memories, I graduated from AUB in 1980. a lot has changed, there was cinema Orly at the beginning of street near AUH, and cinema Edison at the end and there was a sandwich place (great soujouk) west across the Main gate , its good to see the area is thriving thank you again!
Thanks, Ahmad, for another video that brought back memories. I commented (in Arabic) on your Hamra Street video. This time, though, I hardly recognized anything. I was a student at the IC (International College) but could not see its entrance any more in your video. Isn't it there any more? We used to take the train (“tramway”) to downtown Beirut to the cinemas, but there was a Cinema Granada at the beginning of Bliss Street and, also, there was the Khayyat Bookstore. Apparently they are all gone!
Yeah, Bliss street changed a lot indeed! I guess all the places you mentioned are gone, and the IC entrance is not located at the main street of Bliss.
The tramway of the 60's used to go to the end of Bliss street until it gets to the manara and there was movie theater on the roald; the Strand and another one i can't remember .. what happened to the self service restaurant facing the road up the main gate of the AUB ?? It's a great memonries thanks
