Depends on where you go. Stay away from Hilltop on the west side and most of everywhere the eastside. If you want to live in the city and are well off, German village is good, very liberal but it's still a nice place with amazing food. If you don't mind living away from downtown. Westerville on the north side is AMAZING, tons of parks and paths and nature, all while having uptown Westerville which has excellent food. Dublin, Upper Arlington, Hilliard, Worthington, Grove City are great too. Dublin has "bridge park" which is a very walkable 15 minute city with free parking located in the center of Dublin. Always things to do there.
Cbus is all over the place, Red and Blue, Independent. No matter the politics, this place is AMAZING to live in. I actually know people that moved from LA and they love it here. If you want the downtown life, plenty of places to live. If you want quiet, move to the suburbs. If you want solitude, there are country areas for sure too.
I am a city boy. From NYC and have been living in Tokyo for 10 years. Here is my thought. 1. It is very clean! 2. It looks like a nice small city with some interesting shops. 3. It is dead. Barely any people and I think that is the biggest problem. Someone mentioned about USA being a car-dependent country. I agree. That is the problem. You will notice that in Europe, Asia and other cities in South America.
Disagree. I work in downtown Cbus and live in the suburb. The streets are bustling but they are in a part that is not busy at the moment. When it's gameday for the Crew, Clippers, Bluejackets, it's insanely busy. Also come on a day when the Arnold Expo is happening, absolutely bonkers busy! This person was also on 1 SMALL area. They did not get to Short North, or German Village. Trust me, the city is HUGE. Oh yea, OSU campus too lol. Missing out on a LOT.

The only people that shop around there are clueless tourists, but then again who vacations or goes to Columbus Ohio, the majority of the citizens of Columbus Ohio stay home , nobody that was raised here actually wants to live here, Columbus Ohio is a corrupt shit hole ,
Sometimes boring and clean are good things. My wife and I have family in Columbus. We stayed in the German village in a VRBO while visiting. Much love to Columbus from Virginia. OH_ _ !
I actually visited this place during the weekday a few days ago. My impressions of the city were very positive. I am from long island NY. There were more people on the streets than what is depicted in this video. Also there are other places not shown. They have a huge mall area close to the city. i think its called Polaris. Its huge modern and nice. All kinds of chain stores you would find in a mall if you are into that. For the other stuff you can find in the downtown area which is very clean as shown in the video.
