I had no idea Gdańsk was such a beautiful city. I’ve always thought of it as being some sort of communist era Industrial center. But it is absolutely beautiful especially in the low winter light. Great walk and thanks so much for posting it. Would love to get to Poland someday. Very inspiring. - Henry
Gdansk and the area certainly improved a lot over the last decades. Sometimes I meet foreign students who have some university semesters there and they also love it. Outside of summer it's calm and only few tourists visit. Poland in general isn't overrun with mass tourism like most Baltic cities so I hope you can visit sometime. It's a nice area
Warszawa, Wrocław, Gdańsk, Poznań, Kraków, Zakopane, Rzeszów, Gdynia, Sopot, Toruń and many, many more are modern and very nice looking cities in Poland with plenty of atractions for tourists. Progres that Poland made since 1989 is incredible. When you think about Poland forget about dirty, grey cities, sad people, crime and other depresing comunist era stuff.. Fortunately, those times are over and Poles are very optimistic about the future, country is one of the safest place in EU ;) Feel invited to visit Poland one day. PS. On YT you can find many vlogs made by tourists from Canada, USA and UK visiting Poland, I recommend you to watch, you will be pleasantly surprised. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zDOP3CAJHeA.html

*Another Great Video by PopTravel* (Daniel). You did a lot of GREAT panning during this walk, in this 'ole town. Loved this video very much. Plus the location! Google has a 3D map of this old town, as well. Really neat seeing the "Island" during your walk. It's Beautiful! 1:00 Loved finally seeing things in the tunnels. I always wanted to see where those stairs go to in Europe. We don't have those in my City. 2:43 39:10 and on & on ,,,you did a great job panning the area! 8:50 Always fascinates me to see these colorful pad-locks on the bridges in Europe. 15:42 Quick peek inside church 16:46 Shy cat runs from camera. 19:05 Beautiful building, with shops inside. Looks like Consignment Stuff. (I love those places). 24:32 *The Royal Chapel*, a Baroque church with decorated Pink facade beautifully restored. 24:38 *Architecture of the old town of Gdansk with bronze Lions statues* - emblem of the city. 26:08 Lovely area. Beautiful lightning at this hour. Love church Bells. Jednym slowem dziadostwo !

Mandi Dusha The Order of the Hospital of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the German House in Jerusalem (Teutonic Knights) was invited to Poland by Konrad Mazowiecki. Germany was abusing hospitality too long. In 1945 they got a kick in the ass. And to this day some Germans suffer from this ass. Poland through Germany in 1939 lost Lviv, Vilnius and Grodno and many other smaller cities. Poland before the war was 75,000 km2 larger. It is only thanks to Germany.
