We have a forward thinking leader. Mayor Jerry Trenas has been dedicated to make Iloilo city and the province of Iloilo more liveable places in the country. Everyone comes together to improve the city. Saturday is a day dedicated for cleanup involving local officials and the community. ❤
Iloilo City was one of the early urbanised cities in the Philippines. In 1970s, there were cinemas, big hospitals, domestic airport built in 1930s and regional offices of government agencies and universities My mom graduated in Collegio de San Agustin in 1956 (now University of Saint Augustine/ Universidad de San Agustin.
I am originally from the province of Pampanga I wish, and I hope that the governor and the politicians Pampanga will get their act together and eradicate their corruption and incompetence and learn from the government of Ilo Ilo on how to improve pampanga Province
Iloilo is the place of drilon and meriam,,pampanga is the place of gloria and lapid, compare them, iloilo is another world because of the leaders improves properly and dedicated to their constituents, not to their pockets,,

Dangerous city is Cagayan de Oro located in Mindanao. city in Mindanao are unpredictable Zamboanga seige, Marawi distroy by isis Davao was bomb.. Very dangerous
@@user-mz3cg3yn6j Youre entirely wrong. In fact, there are lots of foreigners living in Mindanao. There are foreigners who have roamed Mindanao by motorcycle alone and were impressed by the peace-loving Lumads, Muslims, and Christians I presume you havent been to Mindanao at all. Davao City is touted as one of the safest cities in the world. Cagayan de Oro is even more progressive than Iloilo in terms of per capita purchasing power, airport traffic, shipping traffic, and economic output.
Iloilo City is my kind of place. I wish the Philippine visa requirements did not include a huge bank deposit. Most expats live on a monthly income. We don't have large sums to deposit in foreign banks.
How progressive the place,it shows that politicians here are not corrupt, drilon ,meriam, are from this place, judge them,ok,hope other places in phil, will be like ilo2.
Ungka, flooding, cholera, high e.coli reading, burikat, lethargic investment etc drugs. Same as other cities inthe pinas. Pero if ilonggo talk about their place, the perfect city. Huwag lang magsinungaling. Tikal talaga ang nauna😅

it's like saying the MEGAWORLD development is the whole of Iloilo City. There are still outskirts of the city that is not really clean. It's like saying CEBU IT PARK is whole of Cebu when in fact there are still slums around it.

S-pass was scrapped, once you're in the Philippines already, you don't need s-pass to teavel. However, if you are from abroad, then you need to register your e-travel permit to enter Philippines.
ILOILO CITY's downtown area is called CALLE REAL, the Heritage District where heritage buildings dating back to the Spanish era (1800s) and American era (1900s) are left intact and cannot be demolished. Intelligent persons know that these heritage buildings are precious and are to be preserved. No tall or modern buildings are allowed here, just like in the great cities of Europe like Madrid, Paris, Vienna, Prague. Any person who says these places are stagnant reveals their ignorance of heritage laws.

now i see why you say something bad about Mindanao and lift your city on a chair. That's too backward mentality for an Ilonggo like you. Cebu's culture is different. They have lots of Koreans and Japanese learning English and they eat on small carenderias and restos and that says how vibrant the culture in Cebu. Foreigners are filling lots of condos and other real properties in Cebu that's why Cebu is always growing. Ilonggos are overshadowing the other parts of Iloilo and shows the social media that the whole of Iloilo City is the Megaworld development which is just a small part of Iloilo.
