Varanasi, or Benaras, (also known as Kashi) is one of the oldest living cities in the world. The land of Varanasi (Kashi) has been the ultimate pilgrimage spot for Hindus for ages. Hindus believe that one who is graced to die on the land of Varanasi would attain salvation and freedom from the cycle of birth and re-birth. Abode of Lord Shiva and Parvati, the origins of Varanasi are yet unknown. Ganges is believed to have the power to wash away the sins of mortals.

There is something very special about Varanasi. I would choose Varanasi thousand times over any metro city, I just fell in love with the place and it's vibe. Would love to visit it again and again.

It is like being there, but without the travel, heat, crowds, filth, or pickpockets. This is one of many places I was curious about going to, but was never actually going to go to. These videos are great as a substitute.

Why do I love Varanasi so much? It’s dirty, chaotic, noisy, the river is polluted yet I want to go back for the third time. I can’t get enough of this city of death. All of India is amazing but Varanasi is special.

Actually name of VARANASI has been changed through out the History. In Ancient time it was also known as KASHI then after some hundred years it's name Changed to Varanasi then it remain same for several generations.After arrival of Mughal they started spell it BANARAS due to their accent that continued with Britishers.

Video must have been taken by someone that appears native. When I visited the city (admittedly 15 years ago) I was constantly ambushed by people wanting to take a picture, people asking for money, kids asking for a pen, and people wanting to practice speaking English. I get it, that is what travelling as a foreigner is like in many places, but my point is the video does not show what it's like when you actually visit the place.

Don't worry brother now they can't do that such thing we will have a public parking lot where vehicles will be parked and any side parked vehicle would be fined .
