Wow, awesome walk, tour, knowledge, information and fun! Cold springtime, I had to deal with the elements in the Keys, not as cold but the wind was treacherous...I ate at a restaurant in LIC years ago with the most stunning views of Manhattan's skyline. My favorite building is the Chrysler building. Years ago I worked in the lobby of the Chrysler for an art supply company. Never forget it. The salt marshes right there. Reminds me of Plum Beach in Brooklyn. Great ecosystem right in your backyard but be careful they have quicksand there! Great job AK and Sarah, Happy Easter!😎

I was born in LIC, in a long-gone Catholic hospital which was located right around where the big skyscrapers and new library are now. It was a working industrial area when I was born (1947).

Awesome Video, Love NYC stayed in Long Island City and walked across the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge in 2017, am hopefully returning in June with my wife, and we are bringing our daughter, who will be visiting USA for first time, staying in Lower Manhattan on this occasion. Be safe.

I think Long Island city is the best place to live in New York City because of the views and the cost real estate. It’s a hidden 💎 gem. They also have great food for cheap

Re: walking NYC: there's a (retired, I think) sociology professor who literally walked *every inch* on NYC (yes, all boroughs) and he wrote a book about it. Sorry I can't remember his name or the title of this book (he's written others), but it's long and fascinating and worth reading. (Someone at The Strand would know the title.) PS-- the period of modern art *ended* in the 1970s. "Modern" art refers to a style rather than a time, and it started in the 1860s.

Hi. I used to live in this area .there are more interesting things in this italian community for many decades. Traditional restaurants , bakery , there is a ,grocery where you can find the original classic roast beef sandwich.the best. Please take time next time and get stories of the people there. Thanks. I was born and raised in nyc. Don’t miss the miserable weather and grey skies for 5months of the year. Other than that it’s a fun city if you’re super rich and can afford to go to Florida for Dec-March. The restaurants are overpriced and full of sodium. I miss the accents though. Both hosts have the loveliest accents!
