The white bridge of Ahvaz or the hanging bridge or the crescent bridge is the name of one of the bridges of Ahvaz city, which is also considered one of the symbols of this city. This bridge was built on the Karun river in 1315 during the reign of Reza Shah Pahlavi, which has two suspension bridge parts (one 136 meters and the other 130 meters) and three 49 meters arched parts. The total length of the bridge is 501.2 meters. The carpentry work of this bridge was done by Gholamhossein Salehi Kalam, a master carpenter of his time. This project was done by two young German engineers.
