The hotel that I stayed in at Hue was very close to all the street action the town had to offer, including restaurants, bars, shops and a general social environment that was fun and welcoming.
I wandered into the downtown area every night I was there and this video captures some of things I encountered on Saturday night.
Despite being a tourist magnet, Hue is a place that I would recommend for single travellers and families alike as there is something for all to enjoy.
Like most of Vietnam, the people are wonderful.
The food I had was all excellent too.

Impressed by your pronunciation of Hue. A long way to go for a coffee. Strong use of the local dialect to get yourself out of scrapes. Great stuff!

Thanks Sean! Yes, that Vietnamese coffee seems even further away at the moment with Australia's travel ban but it really is addictive. I intend to drink it again one day!👍

My wife is Vietnamese; so I like to see video's of Hue, because that is where she is from. I want to go there, but we went to Hawaii last year and she is hooked; I was stationed in Hawaii as a U.S.Marine & want to move there some day. She owns a nail salon here in Des Moines, Iowa USA and is a work-a-holick, but we plan on going to Vietnam here in a couple years. Thanks for the glimpse.........

Yeah, so many great places in the world to visit and Vietnam is certainly a must see. It was my first time and I can see why people go back as they say it has multiple layers to experience. The landscapes and architecture are amazing, the cities are busy and the people are wonderful. Thanks for watching and commenting!
