if you come out of the Market garden just at the bottom of the hill there are some steps on the right they lead up onto Strines road and if you cross this there the path continues up onto the canal and you can walk back to the locks turn rght and you are back to Branyns park
It looks really nice there - I'll have to take my Missus there when we're over. She loves waterways and the trad. English vibe. She used to love visiting Altrincham, when my parents had a place there. I was looking forward to trying wild garlic too, but after hearing sound advice on here (your face was hilarious!) I will now take it home and wash it first, if I find any. My sister says it grows in Reddish Vale as well, so I shall check it out there too. Enjoy the spring and summer weather.
