In this video, we walk the old Lexington and Concord battle road through the woods of Massachusetts. shooting landscapes and historic buildings, and experiencing the pleasure of New England in summer.
This is the road where Paul Revere would have ridden, warning that the British are coming. In those days it was called the Bay Road.

Really great to be walking and seeing with you; a piece of history not necessarily taught or understood here in the U.K. Love the accompanying stills. So atmospheric and beautiful. Thanks for sharing, Keith.

Another good one, Keith. We visited Concord a few years ago and really enjoyed the whole town. The Concord Museum is fascinating. While touring the battlefield, I asked the docent if they knew, for sure, who actually fired the first shot. He said they did not but records indicate that it hit a British horse in the "hindquarter" !!!!! Obviously, future shots were more accurate. Stay safe...

Thanks George! I got to spend a few minutes in Concord -- what a beautiful place! I have family in the area so hopefully I can get back and spend more time in Concord proper. I feel sorry for that poor horse!

Great video, you really captured the beauty of that part of MA in the summer. I grew up an hour south of Concord, which is a gorgeous town. However, I never traveled down this road. I'll have to check it out the next time I'm back there visiting family.

Thanks for taking us along on this historical walk. I really wanted to get a photo looking through the glass of the old wooden building with the sun coming through the adjacent window. (10:12). Also, that old doorknob and shadow and keyhole. (11:36) Your images are great, as usual; black and white is perfect.

Thanks Terry! Those are both great ideas for images. I love when people see shots I missed in the videos. Truth is, I shot hundreds of pictures that morning and so far, I've processed a handful. A lot of work to do yet.

@@Keithdotson I understand. This morning I’m looking through photos I shot in Colorado back in 2012 and 2008! There are so many that I’ve never done a thing with.

Keith this is a great video. It has an almost documentary /reality tv feel about it. I was expecting Norm Abram from this “This Old House” to come walking out from around the corner of one the buildings. Hartwell house was my favourite, that Gopro shot down the driveway to the barn was the best. I am always amazed at the great shots you get in the worst light conditions. I have tried BW shots and adding flash to midday sun shots with little success. Have you ever considered doing a “how to shoot in harsh light conditions video? Really enjoyed all of your stills. Mike

Hey thanks so much for the nice words Mike. Truth is, the light was coming and going that day. Loved what you said about Norm Abrams!

I was fully expecting a full square on Keith Dotson special of the captain's house and it never came, must be that harsh new England light!
