I lived in 124St and 109 Ave for 27 years before moving to Longwood FL 15 years ago, loved and miss RH daily, had its moments but overall great experience huge part of my life. I recalled driving from work and stopping in @ Sybils and grabbing food for dinner etc.

Thanks for sharing the streets of New York; I've never been there before. Back in 2004 I spent my vacation in Boston Massachusetts at some relatives that live there and in 1999, I attended a seminar in Houston Texas. On both of those occasions I would have in transited through Miami but never stopped over. So through your videos I'm getting to see places that I haven't been before.

Guyanese living in New York gets all the food to buy. Yet when they go to Guyana they bring back all the fish and other food stuff. Here in England where I am we get very little or none. But we make do or do without. Keep posting with the family Danny. Many thanks. I visit NY every year to see the family.

yes, you can find everything right here in the U.S where you have a large population of Guyanese.. I live in GA and there are Guyanese grocery stores that you can get banga, butter fish etc. that is from Guyana. Also, the farmers markets have bora, callaloo, bok choy etc and fruits like ginep, mamey, etc.
I think 75% Guyanese comes to New York they go straight to Queens to live . When I left Guyana 94 I know I was coming to Brooklyn . New York life is sweet when you get a good job

The place has a lot of history. Early 1900s. Those people carved the way to a lot of our privileges today through soooo many sacrifices. Salute to them all!!!
Most of us don't live close to little Guyana and parking is also a big thing in that area. Also the taste is not the same its not fresh as home. you know they say there is no place like home.
man, Been going there since 76 as a kid, still the same. A few different stores etc, same ole road. Them traffic lights bruk yuuh neck if yuh in front waiting an lookin up for the green light. Singh's roti shop and Guyana Oriental Gardens, Roys Bar by 111 etc. June i reaching back.

A lot of Guyanese grew up hearing about little Guyana-liberty avenue. I am great full u are able to show this. This is our version of regent street. These is no little Trinidad unfortunately, we Guyanese were the first to inhabit/establish in queens. Even though we love our Trini brothers and sisters and we brought them into our fold. Uncle Danny I am so happy you did this vlog on little Guyana library ave.... so my fellow people in Guyana who never get the opportunity to come to New York can see it.... because alot of our owns guyanese when they go back to Guyana my god they act like America dont have food... everything is in new York especially in queens... I never live in queens..
