Walking The Wildwood Boardwalk - June 2020 

I’m down here right now, I extend my stay for a week. Enjoying on the beach 🏖

Guys! Don’t be sad! I’m here right now, we just got here today. I’ve been coming here for all 14 years of my life and even if the rides and water parks are closed, it’s still fun here! A lot of the shops and restaurants are opened!

Damnnnnn that pizza looked good!! Man oh man to have some Wildwood pizza again lol. I’m shocked at how few people had masks on. 😮. I hope that there isn’t an outbreak of Covid-19 there on the boardwalk!! Watching this video was like being there for me, it’s like I never left. ❤️. I was on the boardwalk yesterday. Friday. I was reluctant to walk any distant for two reasons: 1 the suggestion that masks are optional and 2 the six feet rule was not being followed. So my alternative was to sit with my dog, my daughter, and enjoyed the wonderful cool breeze, the fantastic sight of the water rolling up the sand.

Our family and friends just got back. I am so glad we went. I am 73 years old and was skeptical about going but I knew the beaches in the Crest are enormous. Sometimes it seems to take forever to walk to the ocean but I thought we would at a minimum just sit on the beach and listen to our music from the 60's. The hotel gave us a lot of options on how we wanted our rooms to be cleaned. Lots of safe outdoor dining. Morey's Piers are the safest place on this planet. Even three-year-olds and above wear masks there. So glad we went. Turn off your TV and head to Wildwood for a week. Get yourself out of the depressing funk you are all in. You will not regret it. I have no connection to Wildwood or WVA. Just a person who has been coming there for at least 20 years. Jim

Joey, Thanks for the Video. It's been a long, long 3+ months. It was a real shot in the arm to see normal people walking the boards without face masks and hearing the seagulls in the background. We have reservations for Sept. and hope things hang in there. Next time start out in North Wildwood. Stop by Russo's or ALP and sample their Italian hoagies.

Going july2nd-5th with my fiance', we go to wildwood every summer. We do one big vaca beginning of summer and then go to wildwood in the middle and end of summer for small vaca getaways

I'm going back to wildwood in August I think and then I'm staying in a hotel at wildwood next year I will be able to go in moreys peirs and next year the waterparks

Bummer...at one time known as the most exciting boardwalk has earned the title of "the most boring Boardwalk "!! Somebody PLEASE bring back the thrills and frills !! PLEASE. 😢

What was going on in front of the castle arcade? Were they trying to just sell off prizes or was someone unrelated setting up shop out in front of them while they are closed?

Joey you look nervous when a crowd of people walk toward you. I will be to because I live in Bergen county and did not get covid19 because I do not go into crowds. I guess I will be nervous for a long time to come, by the way I lost two people in my family due to covid 19.

My BF is going to Ocean City next Friday and I’m jealous. I remember the one year I went to Wildwood me and my mom went under the boardwalk and found this BIG minion that someone lost and I picked it up and kept it. Do they still have the Boardwalk Mall?

Why would you go to the shore if there are no rides and other fun things to do? I wouldn't! I love the Jersey Shore but this isn't what I think should be happening. Your mask isn't doing anything to protect you...Fact!!

It looks like it can be November, so sad they're like 50 people on boardwalk all jobs operating rides arcades are dead, tram car not riding much cause who wants to pay 4 dollars to do nothing but, outdoor dining, no rides no arcades no water parks, no fireworks, thanks Governor Murphy, maybe you can open things after labor day
