Pat Godwin tried to create a song on the fly with the Steven Singer Singers and it didn't start off so hot, but his tributes to DUIs ended up being a smashing success.
LOL I am a little too familiar with this song even after being sober for 30 years. Somehow I found you and your 'pie guy' blog, I also could not play that song as it was so overdone. Not like Sergio, my 'buddy' who would find any possible excuse not to let me do a song at his Station gig. I'm sure I saw you perform there but it was a hazy period for me. At the time the hot bands were Abilene and Great Rock Scare. Then there was Don Shappelle, Gary Cutter and a few others. I formed a band called Redeye but left after some internal skullduggery. I was also in 'The Revival', a CCR cover band. Later did some more solo work. It's cool to see that you made a lasting career, keep on truckin'. Through the magic of google taking over youtube I somehow ended up with two user ID's. My music channel is 2wheelsturnin , I have some 10-15 year old songs there. I haven't played in public for years but did my amateur recordings for youtube. Take care, Jim
