My grandmother lived in Wentworthville for 67years until she passed in 2011. I used to go there all the time and had to go through Parramatta station to get there. At the start of you video within the first 10 mins is the route I would take to get the bus down the street there. To say how much it has changed in the last 40 years is unbelievable, I remember there used to be a row of shops all up and down that street as soon as you exit the station. Now to see all those high rises really sees how far we have come. Isn't great. Good to see the good old Westfield Mall is still there but that high rise next to the railway bridge is new. I can't believe how different it all is as you go down through the park and garden area all those old shops have gone giving way to progress. Many times I've walked this route you are now taking over the decades, I go way back to the 70's. I haven't been through there now since my Nan's passing so thats coming up to 12years now. It's amazing to see just how much has changed just in that time. As your spinning round there the memories just come flooding back and from different time periods. I still see a lot of familiar buildings but that new one nearly finished next to the railway bridge is very impressive from what you've shown. Funny thing is after all these years I cant remember the names of the streets anymore. I can see they have put trams in but trams are showing up everywhere nowadays, even in Canberra where I'm from. Thank you for the memories. I now have been living in Redfern for the past 19 years and don't get out that way since my Nan passed. Cheers.
