Changi Terminal 3 is a wondrous playground of whimsy and adventure. Its architecture departs from that of Changi’s earlier terminals with a strong emphasis on natural elements: wood features are employed and sandy tones are used for the carpet floorings. Unique features like its roof design allows natural daylight to stream through, creating an inviting atmosphere. This terminal is designed to give travellers a warm alcove amidst the uncertainty of travel, and visitors a cosy space when bidding bon voyage to a loved one.
Daisy, designed by Christian Moeller, is a compelling piece of digital art in the public area of Terminal 3. It moves towards travellers and its bloomhead is directed towards its observer, making it almost life-like in its responsiveness- made possible by its in-built sensors. A flower with propeller-like features, or a flower-shaped propeller, it is inspired by the journeys and connections made possible by an international aviation hub like Changi Airport.
