You will not find nicer people or a more beautiful country than Morocco. One of the most special places on earth. I will never forget my visit there as long as I live. I live in the US and I was very sad to have to leave such a wonderful place.

Finally someone shows MARRAKECH and not just the Medina. I am traveling there in 2020 so I'm watching lots of videos. The videos are great but sometimes I want to see more then just the Medina and Airbnb houses. Your walking tour is invigorating. A much needed thank you.
Hello! Glad you like this walk. Exactly, the idea was to show that there are more than the old Medina. Marrakech is a real city with tons of things to see and do. you are "North African". when you say you are "African" people think you are subsaharan black african because most people are ignorant. It’s like saying an Argentinian is same as a Haitian or dominican which is not the case even though they are all part of the American continent.
I speak of Rio de Janeiro - Brazil, my respect for the Moroccan people. Here in Brazil, there is an expression "" pra lá Marrakesh "or" "there after Marrakesh" is when a conversation is already too long and out of context and meaningless, out of step and out of touch with reality. I don't know why this empression. Here in Brazil we use expressions to represent situations such as "you can get your horse out of the rain", that is, do not go thinking it will be easy for you.
I know it so well and walked here many times . Love Marrakech . But this is only Gueliz. It is great for cafes and shopping but the old Medina and historic buildings are missed . Great atmospheric life in the old parts . Love to all Moroccans 🙏🏽

I don't know if you are Moroccan or not but, with all due respect, you got many things wrong. Moroccans are very proud of the old medina and their heritage. They see the two parts of their cities as a continuity rather than a sharp cultural divide. The medina is where the heritage and tradition is conserved and developed. Also, yes it is nice to show all the modern side but I can assure you that tourists are not interested in paying their flight and hotels to see malls and European-style buildings and stores. They want to experience what makes their destination authentic, what makes it stand out, and for that, Morocco has a lot to offer, proudly.
I agree. Marrakech it’s a great mix between the past and the future living together in harmony. In my humble experience, it was great to walk for the Medina, an exiting experience with a lot of colors, shapes and traditions but I also enjoyed the architecture of the new zone, its people and their freedom to do what they want. I like contrast so Marrakech city was a great experience. I talked with some locals from new district and they said something like ‘i don’t get what you like the Medina’ but you’ll hear the same in big cities with a lot of tourists, no doubt they love their heritage. Funny how travel vlogs have distorted the way people view Morocco as it being one huge Medina and Souk. While when you actually visit it looks for 99% like this and even more modern in the bigger cities like Casablanca, Rabat Tanger etc. While the souks and medinas are there mainly as tourist attractions.
Because most Europeans have big and modern cities but they don't have old cities and souks that's why they go to those places. Morocco in every city inside there is modern city and old city
