You can click while walking and typing and keep walking, without the type bar, just press any key on your keyboard to stop walking, I am gonna call it “auto-walking”
Fun fact: you can do this by keep holding w and then click on chat and release w. But typing done stops you. On mobile devices or ipads you have to keep walking because it won't work if you just release it
You can fully control your character while typing when using a separate input such as touchscreen or a controller. If WASD is used only in typing, then your other input can still change your direction. I play on ipad, therefore can control my character while typing with my thumbstick.

Everyone knows, u can press "/" while walking and it will auto walk But if u want to jump or rotate while doing that : In ur settings (in game), change the Movement Mode To "Click To Move" Then start auto walking with the "/" and then press outside the chat box or press "Enter" then u will be able to do anything you want.
Sometimes when I wanna type and needs to walk I do this 1.i click "/" While walking 2.i type what I wanna say 3.i press "Enter" And my walk stops itself
Just hold the swipe and hold the Joystick, want with your other thumb, you type the keys on the keyboard that’s built in to your device. Since you were still holding the joystick, not only does it not effect your typing, but you can still move. However, the only drawback is that you can only type with one thumb.
This depends on what device ur using, I’m using iPad so it will block me from seeing because the keyboard will pop up. Same with phones. Different types of computers are different, on laptop you can remove the keyboard. And use the screen if u remove the keyboard, but if u don’t you can use it like a comp. if u use computer or pc u can’t pull off the keyboard but they are separated. That’s how u can type when doing parkour
