Back in 1999, my mind was blown away with Walking With Dinosaurs. The way Life has changed, species have changed and yet...here we are, the mammals, birds, fishes and ants that are sons and daughters of those who survived tremendous extinctions. A microscopic fraction of time is ours...so dammit let's make it count.
I absolutely loved this video when i was young i kept searching for it everyday to watch this. As years passed by, i forgot about and i suddenly rememberd! So i searched amd i could not find it! After a year i found it and i was so happy!
Everything about why prehistory is so exciting is contained within this video. If you want to know why people take an interest in prehistoric life, just watch this video and you'll understand. Thanks for an awesome 6 minutes of my life.
This series needs a proper remake, like not a crappy kids poop joke movie, an actual awesome remake. The graphics looked realistic originally but imagine it now - imagine a trilogy of movies about the history of Earth - O.. M.. G... :D Not gonna happen though :C
Yes, the CGI effects will look realistic, and with the stunning natural background! Not to mention how good they did with all of the Practical Effects and animatronics, they will be even better with improved technology!
Phantom u can’t really do that honestly. With several of the animals a lot of their movements are only possible with the use of CGI, it makes their movement more fluid and seem more real. Try making a brachiosaurus, sure it’ll look better, but it’ll move slow and stiff and in a very unrealistic way. It’ll look less like an animal and more like a robot
I wouldn't be half the person I am today without "Walking With". It opened my eyes to the immense beauty this planet is capable of and led me to question all that religious mumbo-jumbo that gets shoved down our throats as children. Well done sir for making this fitting tribute to a legendary production!!!
I love this video. I remember seeing this a while back in 2013. It's so nostalgic and I'm glad it's still here. It hits hard with memories. But it depresses me because we'll also have to look back at species that are living now because 1 million+ species are going extinct and when they finally become extinct, we'll be looking back them just as we are looking back at these animals. So we'll be looking back at animals both from the prehistoric past and from the historic past.
very nice video. I've always been interested in prehistoric animals, especially dinosaurs. Seeing this vid containing footage of Big Al and Walking wit Dinosaurs was just great. Made me think back of the time i watched the shows. Well done.
It's from 'Allosaurus - A Walking With Dinosaurs Special'. A bit of an extra add-on to the rest of the 'Walking With Dinosaurs' series about - you guessed it - Allosaurus, and Big Al in particular. :)
This video is great! The editing was brilliant and it was fantastic to see all 3 of the "Walking with.." series together. I especially liked the bit where you showed the convergence between the dinosaurs mammals.Huge thank you and congratulations!my only criticisms are that some bits weren't chronological, and I would have liked to see the mammal-side of the dinosaur era and more of the first beasts episode. but still very good! Also wasn't the original song video an evolution animation?
Some of the biggest, if I recall; Argentinosaurus, Giganotosaurus, Andesaurus, and others I can't think of off the top of my head. Patagonia is most definitely one of -the- places to go if you want to see dinosaurs, that is for sure. ^_^
Hah, thank you! Before it was made, I was hoping to be able to manage fitting the clips with the music as the inspiration came, and it's always nice to hear that it turned out just about right! :D
eemm... in vision of Riamus, ShinGoji, Me and Mateusz Kwiatkowski Chased by Dinosaurs, Sea Monsters, Prehistoric Park, Walking with Cavemen and WWD 2013 are also parts of Trilogy of Life
Believe me; I really wish the song was about a minute longer! I wanted more Paleo, Ceno, and modern as well, but....there just wasn't time to fit it all in. Trust me; being unable to add in today's creatures was not fun. : / And yeah, I wanted a modern human, too, to put everything into context, but...I settled for the mammoth carving in a cozy little museum. That sort of thing is all we have left from millions of years of dynamic life. And thank you for the compliments. Much appreciated! ^_^
I'll admit the original video is what partly inspired this one, to be honest with ya. And I'd be lying if I said I wasn't trying to 'one-up' it a bit, so thanks. ^_^ And yeah, I'm not entirely pleased with how long the 'Monsters' segment was in this either. To make everything else fit right, it kind of worked out to be fairly short. Would've liked to have the time in the video respective to epoch length in reality, but...ah well. Anyway, thank ya again for the praise, mate. Much appreciated!
Thank you very much, Celt! I feel the same way about the series; it's a marvellously well-done and well-put-together program, even if it is getting a touch dated by now. Most of it is still relevant and informed, however, so it's clearly a must-watch for people the world over who are interested in knowing, definitively, what came before us. ^_^
@ImperialGuard9001 Unless dinosaurs start posting comments on my video - on computers that they themselves invented - then I'd say yeah, we're kind of in the lead at the moment. Don't think they won't try and make a comeback, though! They're crafty like that.
Thanks for the kind words, mate! Making a video 'I' like is easy; making one others'll enjoy and hearing complimentary stuff like that is what makes me proud! ;D And as for The Future Is Wild...yeah, I've been thinking about it. If I run across a tune that'll REALLY work with it - not one I have to struggle to make fit, which won't work out well in the end anyway - then you can expect to see a video made. No worries about that. ^_^
amazing series, amazing video! after watching the series like I felt life on earth has gone through so much evolution for such a long time, we human evolution so far is just a very very tiny slice of time.. God knows what other bizarre life forms will evolve over the long stretch of future ahead of us.. also we see that mother nature has crafted this wonderful journey of the life through evolution, it feels nothing stands in front of the power of nature!
@IlovetheeMiranda Thank you very much. : ) It was actually that very segment that inspired the making of the video in the first place; beginning with the meteor, and finishing with that transition I'm glad you liked so much, at that very specific moment of the song. Happy to hear it turned out well enough!
Yeah, I hear ya. I feel the sentiment, honestly. Granted, we've got plenty of biodiversity now as is, but can you even IMAGINE all the little niches that had unique animals we're never going to know about? It's hard to try and wrap your head around. Pretty amazing, the artistic hand of mother nature. She's made quite a variety that's come before, and enough for us to enjoy today. The trick is to not help extinction along. Losing the little rare species makes this that much duller of a planet.
AMAZING video dude. I am a HUGE fan of the Walking With Series, and I must say that this is quite impressive. Should be proud of yourself, because this is a really good video. You should do another one on The Future Is Wild!
I'm not so sure I deserve that distinctive honour, but I'll thank you for the considerable praise, for sure! Judging by your nametag there, I think you're more interested than most in a certain brand of videos anyway though, hm? ; )
This should have been the original video for the song. Excellent work mate, tho my only gripe is that you made the scenes from the first ep of monsters so short.
