So to disable your datacenter one would just have to disable your generators and the grid? I would have expected them to be inside the datacenter :)

I have never seen a bunker with the generators OUTSIDE

Hello Everybody, I have just watched your excellent video which brought back a lot of memories during my RAF National Service days from 1955 - 1955; just two years after the the old RAF Patrington (366 Signals) Unit radar site was moved from near Patrington Haven following the 'East Coast Floods' in the early 1950's. The domestic site is now a holiday camp with a few of the old RAF buildings still remaining. As a RAF NCO Fighter Plotter/GSM (General Situations Map) Supervisor, it was my job, to muster the roster on how many Fighter Plotters would be needed to track aircraft positions on the GSM & local fighter plotting tables, all of which have now gone together with the Fighter controller glass cabins which were above us. When the RAF domestic site at Patrington Haven was sold off by the MOD, the decision was taken to rename the radar site; RAF Holmpton should visitors to the museum be confused with some of the exhibits bearing the name, RAF Patrington.

Wouldn't you have the generators inside the bunker to protect them?

How carbon efficient are these diesel generators to produce power for a large bunker?

That bunker is worthless if the Nuclear Bomb destroys all the fiber, communication lines and power back to your customers.
