Homay takes us through the new Moonglades library - our latest collaboration with SA Recordings and producer & composer Raven Bush. Moonglades is made up of distinctive techniques performed on his baritone & five string violins, plus sounds made from his vintage synth collection, warped and weaved together with detailed programming and effects to create a stunning palette of visceral textures and melodic and percussive loops.

Can we talk about how good Homay is - I always see a spitfire product and go eh I don't really NEED that and then Homay demos it and I'm like okay damn I guess I DO need it. Anyway, I hope you guys pay her a lot 'cause her demos are always the best...

Also all of the Originals demos on their websites are written/recorded by her. It's hard not to buy the library if you listened to it played by her.

This actually sounds like a great library, and I am probably more tempted because of the orchestral textures. I think with some of the €29 libraries, being locked into the sounds is a bit of a turn off for me. But here there is a lot of room for messing around. Love that Pluck Delay sound. Homay also does a great job of selling some of the less "in your face" sounds

When I was living in Japan back in the early '90s, I got the opportunity to be in the same recording studio with him. He is SO intense but I absolutely love his music. A very very nice guy. Everyone loves Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence

@@Reprodestruxion He reminds me of Miles Davis in the sense where he does not like to relive the past (meaning the music he has created years before, etc) He's a sort of RIGHT NOW, IN THE MOMENT type of musician. I don't have a problem with great musicians who are like that, however, they're such a great living resource of the past, present, and future, all at the same time... I'd like to see them embrace it a little more...rather than run from it (this is just my humble opinion)

Just heard back from SpitfireAudio. There will be a fix coming that will sync all loops to your DAW. The best customer service, as always. Such a great company.

hey nice video!! Im composing an orchestral music , i just have one electric piano and i can record with usb everything that i play in a wav form!...i just want to make a normal composition and to make different orchestral and synth sounds. Which equipment do i need?? i have been told that i need an audio interface and a software . But i wanted to ask you! I would be happy if you could give me some idea to make my own home studio! Thank you in advance!

@@johna4457 thanks for answering. Yes I want to make a orchestration with "real" instruments. I mean my digital piano provides many instruments and strings. But I want that it can be sound like a real sound. So, you're saying whether I need a DAW like ableton with audio interface and monitors, OR such a virtual orchestral library without audio interface and recording equipment. Did I understood well?

I LITERALLY scrolled down the list to find the question and answer on this (Which I NEVER take the time to do) because it was SOOOO obvious that people (especially NOOBS like me) want to learn how to do these things and which tools are available. The description of equipment in use should just be listed up in the description of all spitfire walk throughs... all of their gear is WICKED!!!

You can use the global pitch-knob in the app to pitch the whole thing down say an octave, and use that as an separate instance. Find it very inspirational with all the sounds i use in the spitfire app! :)

@@kjellinge well that is kinda useless if i wanna just have one instance of a sound and just wanna play down or up the range especially in a library like this where most of the sounds are synthetic. sineplayer does it easily
