Had a bad experience with wall mounted closet.While i was shitting suddenly the close got broken/collapsed lol😂😀😂.It was a hotel room.i got badly injured and even hotel people charged me for their loss. They said i was overweight. But i was not.if it cant hold a 70 kg weight,then whats the use.lol.floor mounted is best.less tension

Thank you for honest feedback. Bad hotel guys. I guess wall mounted closet will have to bear the weight of people where as in floor mounted , the floor will bear . Really stupid invention.

Advantage of Floor mounted unit - is any locally available plumber can repair. But only the company professional plumber can do repair for Wall mounted unit.

4:00 consider the ledge wall space when comparing with a floor mounted wc. Wall hung wc takes up more space in width as ledge wall spans nearly a metre.

wall mounted WC makes bathrooms good look and easy floor cleaning. instead of using flush type tanks, its very convenient that when we use open type tanks. The only draw back of Wall mounted WC is life span... if any crack developed on the weaker part of the WC (usually on the bolted area), then the problem starts... this also could be avoided if its installed in correct helght. In my house we are using wall mounted WCs only. (15 years old)

Great comparison. May I also add that areas where water is hard and leads to calcium scaling in pipes. Hidden water tanks are a nuisance. It is much easier to use descaler in floor mounted unit than wall mounted hidden tank.

Thicker wall and 9” saving in wall hung commodes contradict each other! You didn’t talk about wall hung single piece where the tank is actually on the wall. This type doesn’t touch the floor either.

Floor mounted have a standard height so no problem at all. But the wall mounting you should ensure the same height while fixing. Because many places they fail and do dirty work by not checking the height. It connects by pan connection to the outer pipe. So if you do a wrong job redoing is a mess. You have to sit over it by hanging your legs.

Unfortunately, both types are not good. Ideal angle between legs when being in toilet is around 40-45 degrees and not 90 degrees which these two models offer...

The basic incorrect statement in his video is that wall mounted toilet saves space. That is true only if it is mounted in a cavity on a thick exterior wall. If this is not the case, if the wall mounted toilet is fixed on an interior wall, then there is simply no space benefit. The ledge wall will take up as much or possibly more space than a floor mounted toilet. What is needed is a merger of the two concepts. Make a kind of concealing, all enclosing cabinet that encloses the plumbing and the cistern. This cabinet should have a door to access all the internal components for maintenance. The same cabinet can also provide fixtures for mounting the bowl on the wall of the cabinet. All we need to do is to ensure that this cabinet which contains everything except the bowl, is properly and strongly fixed on the supporting wall so that the weight of the bowl and the person seated on it does not topple the entire system.

You can use a 1.25 inch pipe connection directly from a water tank and use a concealed flush valve. Only flush connections should be made to this pipe and this will keep the water in high pressure. This will avoid the need of a flush tank

Double flush consist of 2 levels of volume of water viz 3 litres and 7 litres.if apartment has sewage treatment plant,double flush is provided.there is no wastage of water as water is reused after treatment.but in case of old apartments where there is no stp,there is wastage of water if double flush is installed.if anyone wants to install double flush in old apartments(without stp) he has to make 1.5 inch sepate line from overhead tank as usually half inch pipeline are there in old apartments.double flush doesn't work with half inch pipelines

Kindly update an video with toilet design which to be built within a room & floor of toilet will not touch the floor of room as it is a old one house and water may destroy floor of the room. Very useful. But can you suggest what if a leakage happens in a wall mounted toilet? Because in my flat 9 years after installation almost all the toilets had to be replaced because of leakage in the PVC joint. Does the wall mounted ones ever leak?
