Wait so to film the scene at 2:32 you had to Find a person, lean on him, mask him out, add yourself, Pretend to mask yourself out, All just to make the joke that you dont have friends? Now _thats_ dedication
I actually watched the video like 2 hours ago, clicked 'thumbs up' and went on with my life. Moments ago, suddenly it occurred to me that the scene you referenced was sooo genius and it slipped past me. I came back to rewatch and see if anyone else in the comments mentioned how much they appreciated it.
No, it's much more simple than that - he has a cloning rig in his space station and just used that. On a more real note - it's in the same category as his phaser video, where he zooms the camera out of the camera to show "real eye" vision. Lots of attention to detail in his videos.
@@rawblocks That's the joke. He couldn't actually lean on himself, so he must have someone else to actually lean on and paste himself in place of that real guy.
Nah. Its the Captain. He just filmed himself walking on the wall, then filmed himself on the side "supporting" and then composed the two scenes together
@@PunMister So he walked on the floor in front of a green screen, then tilted it on its side in post, then filmed a second shot of him holding himself up and composited them together? Then how did he fall vertically? He would have had to magically glide backward which is obviously not what happened.
@@arcitekk Wrong, floridians don't even walk. Those florida men you see are actually just vessels of an ascended being, they're just giving you the illusion that they exist let alone walk.
That endless staircase bit in Inception was filmed at what used to be Electronic Arts office in Chertsey. I worked at that office and after they closed up, but before the new owners moved in they filmed that sequence. When i saw that in the cinema I got a proper weird feeling seeing that effect done in a location I had been in every day for nearly a year. There's something odd about seeing an impossible effect done in a location you know well.
If your budget allows it, you can also launch a space rocket and achieve a stable orbit around Earth, then build your movie set in a space station and wall walk with zero gravity and some magnets on the walls and shoes.
He's totally editing at, like, late 90's/ early 00's PBS levels, for sure! This shit is off the hook! Brought to you by Juicy Juice®! 100% juice, for 100% kids!
not underrated, his style is just not that appealing that he would explode in views overnight, his audience is slowly growing and will continue as long as he keeps his great content quality.
Yes! Wall walking is great, the original A Nightmare on Elm Street has a great slasher scene at the start using this technique. Also, love your stuff Captain D!
There's also the style where you just film your friends at that one carnival ride where it spins fast and they stand on the walls despite the person running the ride yelling at them to cut it out.
2:40 Wait.... how are you on you.. when the other you is a different video of you, edited to make you look like you... Were laying on you... You and the other you......couldnt have been in the same place at one time.......... Im very worried for you and the other you which is in a separate video of you being the other you which you then edited so that you two could be in the same little clip of you.
most of his enemies died, worse they killed themselves,at least Vulture didn't share their fate. You should watch those movies again,or maybe just watch honest trailer for spiderman trilogy.
Pix quality over quantity, something newer youtubers don’t understand. Sadly cap doesn’t get as much exposure due to it but hopefully he will considering how much he’s grown
Hello Cap D.. big fan here. What u r doing is a great job. I just love ur work and dedication. Hats off to u... Keep inspiring us.. keep making us smile..!! Thank u..😊😊
From my understanding is there are actually less than a handful of rotating room rigs in existence due to the cost and difficulty making and using them. Many sets appear across multiple movies. If you watch the "Breakdancing on the ceiling" scene from "Breakin' 2", you'll spot Freddy Kruegers glove, because they borrowed the rig from The Nightmare on Elm Street.
Very cool, Captain! But there's still one question you've never answered in all these years... Just how in the hell do you remove something from a shot to make it seem like it's not there?!?
He said exactly how. It's masked out by replacing that part of the frame with a shot where nobody was there. I'm also pretty sure it was explained on multiple occasions.
Wall walking is such a common trick I got it explained in a Kids show predating this channel by over a decade. Heck they explained it two times for the sake of making jokes. First was the usual filming someone"Wall walking the floor" and then it was the moving set one.
A very underrated channel. Best example of fake videos spreading virally and videos that explain them being totally ignored. Seems like people like to believe in the impossible more than the possible.
@@helloyes7111 he used an actual person, masked them out, replaced them with a separate shot of himself, and then masked that out after for the demonstration
