Hi Derek, I have the Wallbox Pulsar Plus 17 months now and it been fantastic. I went for the a tethered one for the reasons you mentioned in the review and I find using the app to schedule charging is very easy. Great review Derek and looking forward to seeing more like this.
Nice to hear that it works with solar and load balancing. IMO a must have to get that setup, even if you dont have solar right now. I've a zappi but would consider other options like this if doing it again.
I have an EO mini untethered. I have a leaf with 3.3kw type one and while I could have gotten a tethered type one, I assumed that I would get a CCS at some point. Also, and as importantly, I have a very short drive and the charger point is right at the front of the house, so I wanted one that was quite low key and it's been excellent. Had it over 2 years and no issues. I have to carry cables anyway for destination chargers so no actual hassle
I have an Eo too. Just like you I wanted something unobtrusive for the front of the house. It's mounted low down beside a hedge so it's barely visible. I think a charger should be like an external socket - no need for heavy branding, flashing lights or screens! I went tethered as knowing me I'd leave my cable at home and get caught short when I was out.
Hi Derek, enjoying your videos and am about to get my first EV and your videos are an education!! A quick question is there any vehicle to home chargers available in Ireland.........thanks Barry
Hi Derek... I have a deye inverter working with a wallbox pursal plus car charger. I cannot get my charger working in eco model at all, any thoughts. Thanks.
Great video Derek. I am confused between Zappi 2.1 and Pulsar Plus. Are there any major features differences between them considering i am planning to get additional Power meter / CT for optimizing solar based charging
Hi Derek. I am looking to get the Pulsar Plus in my underground garage in my apartment building. However, there is no Wifi in the garage. How do I control the Pulsar Plus via my iPhone in that situation? Would it be only via Bluetooth which means I need to be near my charger? I assume that I would not be able to see nor control the charger when I am away from the charger, correct?
Have a Zappie and I reduce the amps to match the solar output. Due to walls the zappie is not yet connected up to know when there is a surplus of PV power. Not had a problem but love to see what else is available. DES
Hi Derek,I have the pulsar plus 7m tethered and have found it to be faultless,I have not used many of the smart features but got it as it came with the 7m cable.
My Niro EV finally came today 🥳 10 months! Im not patient Feels very odd from a diesel audi and the piano gloss is already annoying me but i blam mat watson for that!
@@NevoEVReviewIreland full of dog hair already 🙄 Also all you car reviewers have made me completely intolerant of the gloss black! I'm sure I'll get used to it
Hi do you know if the byd e6 will be coming to ireland as it would be the perfect taxi vehicle and i think would sell well as taxi drivers could avail of 20000 euro grant....
Derek, do I have to install a data cable as well as the power cable (already installed) with the Pulsar Plus. It will be fitted at the back of the house 20m from fuse board and ESB Meter. Thanks for the great video.
Thank you for the helpful reply. Our old house has been completed rewired and decorated, the last thing I want is more cabling through it. Kind regards.@@NevoEVReviewIreland d
Maybe you could review the new LIVO Charger from EVBox. It is the latest Charger on the Irish Market and registered with SEAI and qualifies for the EV Charger Home Grant,
@@just4therecord My company bought the 3 phase 22kw version for me to fit. ( I am the site electrician). Instructions came with it read that 3 phase is not an option in UK if the earthing is TNCS/ PME. Am I reading this correctly?
Wallbox terrible customer service experience! The first unit for customer failed within six months, and although it was eventually replaced, the second unit broke down 12 months later. Despite being promised a replacement, it has been two weeks with no replacement and no communication from Wallbox. Every time I call their support number, I'm stuck on hold indefinitely, as if my number is being ignored. I'd consider taking them to small claims court to get my money back, but their UK address seems to be a solicitor's office, likely just a dummy address. WORST experience ever!
