Very good song! I don't really have any complaints with the instrumental, it's pretty good! Though the vocals could be a bit more well mixed and created. Also Alan's voice is very similar to Jeff's. Usually what I do for making chromatic scales is; I get at least three vowel samples that I sampled from somewhere (I use Audacity to record my computer's audio) and save the vowel sounds as their own individual files Then, I import them into the FL Studio pitch corrector individually (You get into the pitch corrector by first loading your audio file into a sampler by pressing the "+" button on the channel rack, then adding "Sampler" which is under the "Sampler" category, then opening Sampler, and right clicking on the audio rectangle at the bottom, and then right clicking and pressing "Edit in pitch corrector") and stretch them out for about 2-3 seconds (be sure to also set the vowel sample to a C note, and turn off the "Variation" and "Trans" knobs to the top right, but turn the "Center " knob all the way up.) Other people use other audio for stretching the audio, but I've found that the FL Studio sampler works the best. I import about 30-60 copies of my vowel sounds after I put them through the pitch corrector into the playlist, then export them. Lastly, I put them back in the Pitch Corrector, assign them the correct notes to make a chromatic scale (starting from a C note, and then moving the rest up one note after another (Example: C, C#, D, D#, E, etc.)).
Overall its a good song but I really don't get a smiling friends vibe from this, like is one of them supposed to be Alan? If I were to listen to this without the name or picture I wouldn't think this to be smiling friends. I'm fine with the more high octane slightly more serious tone here but at least make Alan sound like Alan. Definitely not trying to be mean but just wanted to point that out to see if you thought about that or anything. great song though!
@VibreProd. Yea, no, I get ya. I figured that was the case as it was probably hard to make a good Alan chromatic, as he doesn't exactly have a singing voice especially for something like this.
