You might be the best speaker, in the fishing RU-vid world. It's like listening to your favorite topics from your favorite college professor. Truly meant in a good way. I hope I get to bump into you at the landing soon.
Walleye can see Orange and red well, to a lesser degree green and yellow. They do not see blue or purple well. This comes into play when fishing deep here in Lake Roosevelt, Washington. We have depths over 300 feet. Red drops out of the light spectrum at about 30 ft or so. After that it appears gray or black. I often fish around 140 ft on the bottom with green jigs. In the spring walleyes are shallow and in April or May they bite most anything. White is a good color in plastics for us then or gold blade baits. Most guys east of the Pacific NW don't really know what deep is. I get a kick out of some of the videos where they throw 1/8 or 1/4 oz jigs. We seldom use jigs less than 1 ounce or we cant hit bottom. The current just brushes them away. We can't use live bait here in Washington so we are pretty practiced up with plastics.
