Are you from Michigan or Canada? If you're from Michigan, go to downtown Detroit with a bucket of minnows and perch spreader in mid to late May and fish directly behind the Detroit princess by Cobo Hall. You'll see about 50 other people ripping up countless silvers so its hard to miss. That is the easiest fishing on the earth. I've taken every girlfriend I've ever had there and they thought they were a pro after 20 minutes. For a lure I would recommend something sliver. I've caught plenty on a beer can lid.

I would go with 3/8 of am ounce or half an ounce for that deeper water and farther casting offshore

Hi Mark _ i see you already got some great feedback from Riva & Matteo (Thanks guys) . I was using the 3/4 oz size Stingnose....as for other lures....spinners are great, as are small crankbaits and of course, spoons. Good luck out there :)

Hey ivo i have a question unrelated to this video as I've been watching your videos and getting ideas from them i have spooled two of my spinning reels with 20lb braid and around 10ft fluorocarbon leader. Would this setup be good for steel head and lake trout?

...yes...that's a good rig and you could even go a bit longer with the leader for steelhead, in order to have a bit more give with all their thrashing :)

...as I am not from that area, i am not sure, but there must be...suggest looking at google maps - you should be able to find shore access - great fishing there :)

Navy yard park. When the silver bass run in the spring, you'll see a good size crowd down there. They have no fishing signs, but everyone ignores that.
