Rest in peace, Senyor Wally and Senyor Pepe Smith. Thank you for the music. Those who were able to watch the last performance of Juan Dela Cruz Band were so lucky.
I was there and cherish that gig. I remember Pepe cracked a joke before they started playing and asked, "Okay ba kayo riyan?" The rocker audience replied with a loud, "Yeaaah!" Pepe asked anew, "Pa score na naman dyan!" Everybody burst into a loud laughter and howlin' as they had all flash back of what they used to smoke in the 70s. That was wonderdul pinoy rock night! I hope Nides would upload the whole gig.
A beautifully sublime piece - Wally's Blues - I will never tire of listening to it. Wally Gonzales, Pepe Smith (RIP), Mike Hanopol and Nides Aranzamendez!
Rest in peace, Senyor Wally Gonzalez. Keep on rocking somewhere up there with Pepe Smith on vocals, Walter Wirth on 2nd lead guitar, Dondi Ledesma on bass guitar, & Edmond Fortuno on drums with Rey Pinochio as producer and Nonoy O. as lawyer
Nides Aranzamendez cmon man, i'm not serious..it's a joke..just forgot emoticons just to loosen things a bit..it just so happened that the mannerism is akin to the eat bulaga host.
