@@AdventureswithSpackmann of course man I like these videos as a prepper myself I love watching stuff like this before I buy them, Definitely wish I had more time to use the stuff I got as well LOL
It looks like something that I would buy to throw in the car for camping, but forget it there and either but a 2nd or the real tools. I'm surprised they didn't add a "bottle opener" to make it a 4 in 1 tool!😂 Keep up the good videos!
Its funny, its an "Emergency survival tool" and it has a tent stake pounder...... i guess they assume you'll bring your tent in the case of an emergency. Great video!
I think that Fisker makes an ax with a limb saw stored in its handle that is not much more expensive and is probably of better quality. I know for sure that the thickness and taper on the ax bit is better for splitting wood than that narrow blade on the Wally ax. Your girl make a great Costello to your Abbot! And I'll pit my garage against yours, any day. When I take something out of my garage it leaves a hole shaped like the thing I just removed!
Your garage sounds like it has a clean space then lmao. I’ll have to check on the Fiskars one cause I have something like that but really cheap and the saw sucks. I love Fiskars. Thanks for watching
@@AdventureswithSpackmann I thought that combo was made by Fiskars, but it may be discontinued or I was just wrong. All I can find now (5 or 6 years later) is a Gerber version and It cost about $60 now. I, too, have a cheapo version that isn't too hot. I think the ax is much better though.
@@AdventureswithSpackmann I just remembered another combo that may work for you. It's the Schrade SCAXE9. It has a long folding saw in its handle. The ax is also a little longer than the axes we've been talking about. About $50 right now.
Zippo made this same tool, but about twice as long of a handle, so also a longer blade. I think this one would actually be more packable. are the blades standard, or do you have to go through Wally world to get new ones?
I didn’t see extras sold at Walmart and I’m not sure of the size of the blade. Maybe the listing has that info. I wasn’t aware the zippo one was longer. I think that’s better. Thanks for watching
@@AdventureswithSpackmann A properly set blade should cut through wood effortlessly without all that binding and difficulty. Look down the blade length wise and if the tooth portion doesn't look twice as wide as the blade it needs setting. There's lots of videos on RU-vid showing how to set and sharpen saw blades it's easy!
@missionoutdoorsITM the binding was from the force of the tree pinching the blade. I had to lift the tree to spread the crack to continue. That being said it could still need to be set the pinching in the video was from gravity and the tree.
I found that product too be not that great honestly. Will it get most job's done yeah, but it isn't comfortable. And honestly there are better options I'm sure of it even in the budget friendly category.
