Check the Production date what year and month they were made , a few month can make a lot of difference.

does the tv have rca inputs?

I can't help you, but can you tell me if this tv can play a DVD or VCR player?

It only has HDMI and USB input and outputs. If the DVD player has HDMI output, you are good to go. The VCR will be an issue, you will need to find a tv with RCA input/outputs.
