Just a baking tip from someone who has been baking her whole life 🫶🏼 you should spoon and level your dry ingredients and should never pour and measure over your bowl (people do this often with spices like you did and vanilla extract). Baking is all science and it’s all about accuracy and there’s too much room for error that way. Using a food scale will also completely change the game so there’s no more guessing

I couldn’t agree more! I’ve also ditched the measuring cups completely cause nothing is more accurate than a scale and a recipe written in grams! Baking has become so so easy and everything comes out exact! ❤

I think yeah this applies for most ingredients like flour and leavening etc, however I think not with spices and flavourings etc. Bc I always want way more spices or vanilla or chocolate chips or zest than what a recipe calls for so I don’t measure those and just listen to my heart instead

Hey girl hey, don’t throw your tree out just yet, those strands have a fuse box at the end of here they connect in the tree, the trees come with extra fuses, open the fuse box at the end of each strand that’s out and that will fix your tree lights being out.

Can you not buy replacement bulbs for the ones that are burnt out on your tree? They look like a standard light strand- you can just pull out the bulbs from their little sockets and put new ones in, I think they're just friction-fitted in there, and the bulbs look standard as well so they shouldn't be hard to find. Just a thought to try before donating the whole tree!

Re: christmas lights - I just saw today that apparently they all come with little fuses that you can replace and it will save you from throwing out the tree or getting new lights. Apparently they are like $2 each and they are in the base of the plug! I saw it on a tiktok, but definitely worth looking up :)

I highly recommend making homemade cranberry sauce next year. It’s simple and it’s SO much better it’s not comparable. My non negotiable as are always homemade stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce 🥰
