My dispatcher didn't let me come home for my doctor's appointments, including both of my eye appointment's & the Western Express also screwed me over on my pay on 4 of my loads so I quit after my last load in New Jersey.

I made my 3 months yesterday… and I have been officially hired by Schinder today 🍾🍾🍾🥳🥳🥳… the hell i have been through with western!! The only thing that keeps me from exposing them is that they gave me the Chance to get my experience and I can’t talk ill about them for that.. I don’t think there will ever be a company in trucking that will put you through what I have been through… but thank you for your absolutely wonderful journey and the truth you told!! I admire that honesty and I knew what to look forward to .. even tho our journeys are different but we started at the same point… wishing you an awesome trucking journey in life and may your dreams in this industry come true!! Always slide your tandem Wheels.. 5ft.Tail of Back Trailer.. Trying to back up in the yard with your Trailer tandem Wheels Jack to the front make it very hard in some of the Walmart DC!! They had me on that account, in Cali. I was getting my truck from the Bloomington terminal, then go to Apple Valley and get my load. They were paying $250 a day. All I did was go from Cali to Arizona and Nevada. Props to you and your success.
Swift also has Dedicated Walmart account in Pottsville PA An That’s Local I was on it that account when I was with swift back n 2018 they have a peace of the yard out there with Walmart an I was also paid 250 a day.

I want to get the experience and be able to move on im excited but nervous im 3 months out from school do western make you test out on 90's and offsets etc? I feel like i need a refresher or something
Thank you and congrats to you on getting started! Yeah time flies. They didn’t test me on any of that but if you feel like you need a refresher I’d recommend asking one of your instructors at your school if you can. I felt the same way before I started bc I waited a few months so I hit up one of my instructors and he let me the day before I went to orientation.
Did you pick Western Express for a specific reason versus the other Mega carriers like Swift or Werner? Do you have points on your license or criminal background? Seems like there are much better choices out there for beginners.
If you can bare to stay there for 1 yr. It would be in your best interest long term to do so keeping in mind that you want your driving record cleared because it will come up again even though western express gave you a shot a lot of companies are tightening up on hiring “job hoppers” so get you some solid experience 1 summer 1 winter at least before you move of coarse only if you can bare to stay and then move on as you may know the best paying companies you will need at least 2-3 yrs driven experience. You seem like you have a vision and plans for your future career
I drove for Western Express I was on the TARGET dedicated account I loved it, until my dispatcher put me on the other crapy loads which I absolutely hated.
Your videos have been extremely helpful. I'm about to go to orientation in Tennessee and watching your videos have given me a heads-up on shit. How much do you usually make a week if you don't mind me asking. Other videos make it seem like otr is shit pay like 3 to 400 a week. I definitely didn't get my cdl to make that kind of money.
I’m glad they’ve been helpful. Honestly I’ve heard people say that too and idk what they’re doing. They probably sleep late or have terrible DMs. Granted Western still doesn’t pay that well compared to other companies but you’ll see between 800-1200 a week sometimes more, rarely less.
Do still currently work for western express? U jst had me ask my recruiter to find out about Walmart account for me I leave Wednesday morning 11/29 for Thursday 11/30 orientation.. I have 72 days previous otr experience so I have to do 2 weeks training .. I hear so much negativity about this company so appreciate ur page due to my lil experience and recent felony conviction this my only choice for the moment so ima make it the best I can

No, it didn’t come with any of that but I have noticed the new 2024 trucks they are giving people now do have an inverter so you may get lucky. Yes, I cleaned my truck myself. They do have a service there to do it but I was gonna clean it regardless. Layover and detention is anywhere from $35-$70
I put in my first year at western express. Then last April I moved on to a small company. Upper Idaho easily doubled my money more than doubled. It actually. I did the Walmart dedicated at Western. That's probably the best money you can make there Dry van and it's hella easy. Ruben was my d m. I gave a 2 week notice, but they put on my DAC report that I quit without notice LOL Straight up scumbags over there😂

Hi Queen i had my CDL for 3months with no experience what tyle of training U think i will have to do in Nashville Tennessee 3 backing manevers ? or just road test ?
I'm honestly not sure how they run things over in Nashville. Most people just do a road test but I would say be prepared for a little test on parking/backing just in case. I doubt they'll have you do 3 maneuvers though.
