I'm losing hope for humanity in the feminine hygiene products! LOL! There has been so much thievery in our neck of the woods they have security guards at most of the stores or police officers. It's really sad!

Something we don't consider is the crisis homeless women face every month. This could be the reason the boxes are open... If you're donating to shelters, pads and tampons are always a needed item.

Over the years working for a dollar General store, this happened all the time, and one day my boss and I caught. 6 girls siblings under 16 of age coming in a stealing tampons and pads and there excuse was we have no money, and we need stuff for school, what are we suppost to do when our parents don't have to give to us, we're just kids with our peorid s, and we have nothing !!! I was like wow to hear that from a 16 year old teenager ... my boss and I decided to set some pads and tampons from damages stock to set back for the girls who come in weekly, that are in need,...i'm glad the girls were happy, and didn't go to jail because they could haved went to jail if it wasn't for me stepping up for them...! I totally understand the meaning of not having money for what you need, and being a girl is hard enough with your monthly cycle starts...not many store s do this for less fortunate young adults and teens in need... I think they should set up damage stock pads and tampons selection, to keep there product from being stolen... Like my boss did...it saves his store from unwanted cuts In bugget money from shoplifters.... Here's Something to think about Walmart!

Your description is so important, I'm glad you brought that up. As someone who worked in pharmacy, I can also say that we don't care what you buy and you have no reason to be embarrassed. We hear and see some pretty wild things. Pads and tampons are nothing to raise your eyebrows at.
I work in retail and believe me, people are savages. They open EVERYTHING. They want to sniff, lick, touch and taste everything before they buy and then they'll take a fresh unopened item to the till, not the one they opened. They have no respect at all. So much stock gets written off it's ridiculous. I love that you're facing up though. Whoever works that section is going to love you!
First off, I realize that this is an old comment, but, I worked stocking shelves at night and you are correct. SO much stuff gets written off and sent back, it is utterly INSANE!!! Dented cans, opened boxes, you name it, it gets written off. Amazing...
As a 44 year old woman I remember our choices were huge thick pads (like diapers), regular sized pads (like mini diapers), cardboard applicator tampons (ouch) or if you wanted compact you could use OB tampons (which the applicator is something you were born with☝️😣) Women have amazing choices these days!!! 🥰

In some parts of Scotland(where I stay you can )you can go into your local community centre and you can get free sanitary products. They are trying to cut down on period poverty xx
This was an education for me. In the 60's your choice was "Tampax regular or heavy" your pad choice was Modess mattress size with NO adhesive so you wore a special to hold them in place. Could only get them in the drugstore so I'd wait in the store until a female was at the cash register!
Staff or shoppers? You must not live with homeless people around, every month some go through a crisis that isn’t cheap and resort to stealing a few per box because the boxes are huge and obvious
Having worked overnights at Walmart stocking I can say the boxes do pop open on their own a lot. Some looked deliberately opened by customers but some just looked like they came open in transit

Your commentary is the best and your amazing relaxing voice and beautiful southern accent are so soothing. On a side note, I know most people want the most perfect undamaged package of whatever they buy but there is also a group of us who purposely buy the smashed boxes because we know no one else will and those damaged boxes need a home too lol. I've been off the market for tampons and the like for about 7 years and it's a whole new world out there! Organic? Compact? Biodegradable? I'm glad women have choices but color me happy to not have to worry about it!
I'm from Tennessee, and when I moved to Michigan I got teased like crazy for my accent lol. Nobody was mean, bit they acted like I was an alien. Reckon, yonder, y'all, the way we say ol instead of oil. Tawk instead of talk haha. Crazy to think an accent can set someone off.

Lol i think the person that works that department keeps the boxes that inevitably get opened at the front of the shelf. Because people cant help but open to see what the size is. Prevents more boxes from getting opened and more loss to the store. Same thing happens with sandwich bags. I used to work at Walmart lol

Do you recall the fragrance vid you did ages ago and you noted the pots of coffee beans ? They’re to refresh ones nose after smelling perfume. I work in fragrance and we can smell 3 fragrances before the nose becomes confused !!! Coffee beans clear the nasal passages !! So one can start sniffing all over again We don’t get folks opening up tampax packs over here. The choice just isn’t big enough !!! Love to you fab lady. I love your videos but my guess as to the open tampons is that they're expensive. Especially for homeless people. It's insane how inaccessible period products are to homeless AFAB's.
So many options! We don’t get anywhere near that many different types in Australia. And you can’t get multipacks or boxes with any more than about 18 I don’t think. We also don’t have applicators. It’s weird how things can be so different for something that’s used for exactly the same thing.
Insane in the Mom Brain on Facebook made a post about sending lots of boxes of a certain kind of tampon to her sister in Australia. She took all these boxes to the post office, said I need to mail these to Australia 😂 she said the looks on the people's faces were priceless

It's been a while since I needed these (thank you, Depo Provera). The last time was when my puppy went into heat. I got her some pantiliners and stuck them inside a baby onesie. It worked well ☺️🐶.
I love those videos, they help me so much with my anxiety and occasional outbursts of ocd. I’m also from France and we don’t really have stores like this and it’s interesting to see all the products and packaging, especially when you organize all the medicine in some of your videos, that would NEVER be a thing in France buying that for a dollar like this!
I always thought it was gross but Diva cups and similar products are the way to go! Switched to it a year ago and will never look back after researching what most tampons are made of (and I’m not one of those “organic”people either) Not only that but my cramps are almost gone now that I use a diva cup! I used to have cramps that were boarder line debilitating, they would be in my lower back and down to my knees for 5-7 days. Now I may have mild cramps for 1-2 days!
Mary, I always love your shelf organizing. And the soothing voice usually relaxes me. But this one made me laugh so much. It's not a complaint. We all need that. Listening to your frustration over the open or beaten up boxes, saying it everyone talked the same it'd be a boring ass world, then tempting the tiny panty liners to come out of hiding just pushed me over the edge laughing! P.S. My theory on busted packages: SERIOUS period emergencies and smashing boxes over boyfriend's head when they're with you buying this stuff and makes a stupid menstrual joke.
