I love this video it means the world to me I work at Walmart my grandson is autistic they have a Caroline cart for people that need it also along with sensory friendly hours
David, The closed caption idea is great🙂👍! It’s good for the subscribers who are hearing impaired…Keep it going🙂… It’s good to know that Walmart is going sensory friendly, but I think they should extend the hours and to any person who is typing negative comments about it are just ignorant. Well, anyway,Thanks for sharing with us👍! Love you all and God bless✝️🙏🏻🙂❤️🌈!
Some people with sensory needs can only adapt so much. My niece is a highly functioning autistic but she still has certain sensory needs. Everyone needs to be included to live their life as good as they can.
I'm actually surprised it has taken this long. In the UK multiple supermarket stores have been having sensory hours about once a week since around 2017, but it would also be great if it was more than that, even daily...since most stores are open longer and later.
There’s definitely room for improvement. But I’m happy to see more and more accommodations out there. Good change can happen! Now we just need to get rid of money, everyone works toward the greater good, then and explore space. Star Trek.
I'm really happy that Walmart now has sensory hours daily. When they were doing it on Saturday morning, I was wondering why they didn't do it every day. I enjoy going when there are less distractions.
I think that is great news about Walmart and I am sorry there are some people who don't think that should be done. I may not need the sensory friendly environment myself but it certainly wouldn't bother me. I have watched your channel enough and know of others, including a grandson, who have sensory issues so I can truly appreciate the fact that a big business is recognizing the need and acting on it.
❤David, please❤ EXPLAIN, EXACTLY what does Sensory mean. And saying someone has Sensory needs. I have tried for years to understand. Don't some people like alot of light. Why is it assumed low light is sensory Preferred?
Hey guys great video. I like the idea of sensory hour in stores. This Meghan by they way just wanted say hi since it's been a long time. Sometimes I have sensory things with sudden noises so I can kind of relate Even though my disability is Cebrial Palsy
I have social anxiety, and I would love to see if it would be less triggering to go during those times. I used to love going shopping to just look, but now there to many people most of the time.
Hi, everyone. It is really a big step foward. I know that Great Britain have that so called Quiet Hours. Germany have none of this nowwhere. I'm really glad that this is happening in the whole of the USA. Happy for Braylee and all the others witch this step is helpful. For my self I'm an so called Aspie and I prefer to go to shops and times when I know there are not that crowded. I get very stressed because of all the people and the sensory is overloaded. 🙋 So, it is really a big issue for us ❤💙
My daughter is 32 and she has sensory issues, and flashing lights, and sounds make her throw up. She will literally drop to the ground and throw up and instant dizziness. Walmart thank you my daughter will be able to make it through the store without experiencing symptoms..
After watching a lot of this channel and FatheringAutism I can see how the world can be pretty unfriendly toward people with autism especially when it's more severe. Even as a nonautism person I can feel a little overwhelmed at times in stores. In fact, I avoid Wal_mart already for this very reason, so hopefully this will help your situation some.
That's totally wrong for anyone to say something so stupid that they just need to adapt. No people with sensory disabilities whether it's autism or something else don't need to adapt their needs to be more accommodation in this society that's what it's lacking. I actually experienced since we friendly hours this morning and I think it's pretty cool because my local Walmart stores usually blasting their music . Now don't get me wrong I like listening to Walmart radio but sometimes yeah they're just a little too loud I don't have autism but I also don't do too good in loud environments like concerts and stuff like that got to wear the ear defenders.
So let me get this straight. You want me to pay extra to see Braylee content, right? You assume that people are ABLE to pay you for that. That would be ableist. Please go back and watch this post and listen to what you’re saying. After years of being a loyal viewer I say no thanks and I’ll be unsubscribing. (if it’s that private, keep it to yourself)
That’s your prerogative. No one is telling you to pay for “Braylee content”. In fact, you would just be missing me talking more. I have created over 800 videos for free and I bring up 1 topic that I want to help other parents with in a more private setting… All of that is my choice. Absolutely no one is entitled to “Braylee content”. I could just close the channel and that would be okay too. Comments like yours make me want to do that because of how quick people are to judge which creates unneeded stress and I am so tired of it. Also, the definition of ableism is “discrimination in favor of able-bodied people”. Nothing to do with keeping some privacy for my daughter while helping other parents going through the same struggles.
You’re not creating for free. You’re on YT, you’re paid through Adsense, clicks and views. As far as the ableism comment I used it as an example. How do you know I’m not autistic and living on SSD? Which would make it impossible to pay for that PRIVATE content. So you just go ahead with your Patreon your privatized and your holier than thou attitude and good luck to you.
@@TheMyth60Good evening. As an autistic person who can't work and can't pay for it either (which is a financial issue, not an autistic issue), I find your way of mis-using the term ableism disturbing. By doing this, you are spreading misinformation. Please stop doing this. Thank you.
I want you guys know I enjoy the family blog. How many kids stay on gaming games such as Xbox hours after hours. Braylee you are important. You have come along ways. I have listened to you read and say words. 🙃😉🫶 I have learned so much.
