Hello, New subscriber here. I am 74 year old widow and live with my sweet rescued tiny sweet Chihuahua 🐕🐾 Dexter-Dog. May I sincerely say I will never wear distressed clothing. I wash my clothes inside out on cold, then toss in dryer 2 minutes to remove wrinkles then hang to dry on my patio. This way, my clothes never shrink, or fade and last practically FOREVER. When I years later donate them they look almost new. Thank you for showing the clothes at Walmart and modeling them for us. You look adorable in everything ...lucky you! Looking forward to all your upcoming videos. Thanks again! Sincerely, Debbie and Dexter-Dog 🙋🐕 living a quiet crafty life 🏠🌵 in southern California. 🙋🐕🏠🌵🐾🌺🌴🙏🙏
Hi Debbie and Dexter in Southern California. I lived in Southern California most of my life. Now I'm in North Carolina. I was just so touched to read your comment and I really appreciate your tips about keeping clothes looking nice. Blessings for you two.
Agree with you 100%. I only wear dark pants, black, navy blue or dark blue jeans even in the summer. I wear light colored tops though,, bring very cold water to drink and wear a brimmed hat to stay cool. NO on white pants and no shorts at all, but did wear both when I was young.
I stopped wearing distressed jeans a few years ago. And I won't wear button fly jeans or pants. I agree, can't be bothered to button. This was a great video!!!!
I LOVE those white jeans on you! I think they look fun and flattering. It's interesting how we all see something completely different while looking at the same thing. :)
Just yesterday I was searching online at Walmarts shirts. I like how you can choose different models however I based my choices on how they look on you. I know that sounded weird😂. It’s just easier for me to see on a living, moving person. ❤
The virtual models for plus size are difficult to visualize any fashion on because they have these women standing in the most awkward and unflattering poses.
I definitely have the same problem finding shorts. I just resorted to creating a pair of cut offs from old jeans. I cut them long like Bermuda length and then roll up the cuffs.
I totally agree with you regarding the white jeans - I hate distressing in anything and never buy those items, also I don’t like button up pants (don’t feel comfortable with buttons). I don’t like excessive cut/distressed legs on jeans 🥹 Thanks for posting this🤩👏🏻
I have the white, button up jeans & I like them. I’m 5’8” and did not size up, bought my regular size 8. I like them so much that I bought the pink ones too! Btw, I’m 67, size 8, about 142 lbs
I just bought them as well. I don't normally like button fly pants but I love these! They are super flattering on me and I did not size up either. I'm wearing them tonight to a concert!
I am with you on the distressing. Not only for the white jeans you show. I am so over it. I never liked it in the first place. I could never wrap my head around paying good money for torn clothing. I do like the style of them though.
Like you, luv the white jeans!! Fan of buttons on jeans. Look edgy. And the distressing and raw hem give this pair a funky look. Would be great with a concert tee!
I'm 66, have always LOVED button-fly! Being extremely super long-waisted I even love these more, plus they are not see-through! WooHoo! Then those awful 'distressed' ugly tips are the absolute deal breaker for me; not only do I hate these rips (my Darling Granddaughter had bought me some jeans with them, I don't wear them), the ones in those you showed are right up into where my chonies go! NOPE!! Thank you for showing these to us! I'm grateful!!
Naturally my favorite item is the top that's not online. I do all my shopping online so I'll have to check back frequently. I put a couple of the sleeveless tops in my cart to contemplate whether or not to show my arms this summer. In my seventies my upper arms have turned into something out of a horror movie. However, I'll swear that when we moved from Florida to California a few years ago we got closer to the sun. It gets so HOT! Thank you for your videos. I overlook a lot of items until I see someone model them.
I do the same thing. I don’t even consider buying clothes online until I see it on a person. The Walmart app lets you choose the model you want. So I choose a model that is similar to my body type. I too have the aging arms issue. So I don’t want to try on clothes in store anymore.
@@tammyjohnson8150You never know in my local WalMart if they will even have someone at the fitting rooms to unlock the door. It's great that they have one of the best return policies out there.
Great haul I agree on the button fly. I just can’t deal with that. I do have some shorts with a button fly and they are not in heavy rotation. Every time I see jeans like that, I keep on browsing. Tired of distressing, too.
Distressed jeans are for teens and 20-somethings. If my jeans are ripped, it's because I've been rock climbing or doing yard work. I agree that the cami (as nice as it looks) needs to have tank-top straps, otherwise it looks too much like an undergarment that you chose to wear as outerwear:) And I'm glad you found shorts you like - I am very tall and have a hard time finding shorts that don't look hoochie-momma, so I'm going to head over to Walmart and see how they look on me. Thanks for pre-shopping for us!
Oh.... White jeans, I have two after looking for years. 1 is a capri from 10 years ago Kohl's Sonoma brand a little big even though they are a ten and St John's bay I got this year straight leg regular length in non see thru size 12 fit good.
Hi AnneMarie - thanks so much for watching and for your thoughtful comments. Although I don't like the hassel of all of the buttons, I must admit that when I watched the footage back I DID think they cinched in my tummy a little!
I totally agree with you on the jeans. I wanted white jeans this year and had seen these on a video. While at the store I decided to see if they had them. I normally wear a size 4, but with these I had to go with a 2. Not too happy with how they fit but the for sure thing that talked me out of them was the distressed areas. Especially the top one. You could definitely see my skin and underwear. I ended up ordering one from Banana Republic Factory. They cost just under $34.00, on sale. Thick material, button up also, but no distressing. Had some stretch and probably could have got a size 2 but I washed and dried them and hopefully they shrunk a bit. From what I can tell, these will work out fine for me. Also, I wanted to let you know I really enjoy your videos.
I will not buy button fly in any bottom. I drink between 66 and 88 ounces of water so that means a lot of running to the bathroom. It takes too much time to unbutton and bottom back!! I am 68, will be 69 on May 16. I retired in January from JCPenney and we could not wear distressing so I never bought anything distressed. Now since I’m not working I still won’t buy distressed items! Great video, thanks!! Have a good week!
The white jeans come in pink. Which I bought. Love them! The pink is not distressed. Buttons are fine. I grab the top button and pull to use bathroom. I’m going to get the white pair and put a cute patch on them to customize. For 20 bucks. Heck ya
Hi Linda - thanks so much for watching and for your thoughtful comments! I noticed after I filmed this video that the pink ones are not distressed. they're a pretty shade of pink too :)
I love button fly jeans:). I also purchased the white jeans and sized up 2 sizes and have really enjoyed them. I am over distressed jeans but I do like these. Love your videos.
I love the shorts! I'm going to get them. I agree on the button fly. I got those jeans in pink, and first of all, are they tight, no give, no stretch, but the buttons were like impossible to button. The 'holes' for where the buttons go are way too small for the button to pass through normally.
I think the first top comes in very fall -like colors. I would’ve much preferred it and probably ordered it if it were in bright summer colors. As far as the distressed jeans, I don’t mind buttons. I don’t mind a high-rise waist because it holds my tummy in . I won’t wear odd length pants. I want them to either be full length and pool a bit at my ankles. I also like hemmed capri length that don’t look just like they’ve been cut off and hemmed, but the overall balance of the pant leg looks correct. I don’t like distressing at all. However, if my own jeans get worn out and I have holes in the knees, I don’t throw them out. I continue to wear them.
Hi Theresa! I am so happy t😁 see you and this video! I totally agree about the twisty top, I really can’t wear them because they make me look “lumpy”. I love the light blue top on you, perfect for summer and very breezy. The distressed white jeans-that’s a hard no for me too. Some distressed jeans look good, these are just weird, and then you have those buttons. Just no! LOL! Do love the shorts-I am a 10 now too and I always cuff them. I buy bermudas and end up cuffing them too. Thank you for this try on! Looking forward to that next one!
Theresa I agree all the way with you about the short inseam at Walmart, I have the same problem. I still iron because I don’t have a steamer. I don’t like shorts too short or too long either. 💙
Agree with the heavily distressed jeans and the high rise jeans and pants. I am also over the prairie-style dresses with flounces. This dress style has hung around for years and I keep hoping this fad will move along. I like the t-shirt you are wearing - it looks great on you.
Loved the tank tops and shorts for summer. I have a couple of pants I bought at Target last summer and since those were the colors I was looking for I bought them they have buttons instead of zipper but I got used to them what I don't like in jeans are the holes, never like them. Like your videos. Hugs all the way from San Francisco, CA.
I totally agree about the pre-made twist front shirts. I've bought several over the years and I never really like how they fit and have edited them out of my wardrobe. I guess ive decided they're not for me and don't buy them.
I really struggle finding any white jeans anywhere honestly. It’s super frustrating. Don’t really want to drop 100 dollars for white jeans at a higher end store.
I've been eyeing a few of these tops in my local store. I haven't seen the animal cami yet but will definitely keep my eye out! I totally agree with you (and everyone else) about the white jeans - yuck. Great video Theresa - thanks!!
Love the blazer and cami! I wear a lot of cold shoulder, cami, spaghetti strap tops etc in spring and summer so I have strapless bras in numerous colors that I bought from Walmart. The white jeans are a deal breaker for me. First because I don’t like my clothes to look like rags. So I have never liked that “distressed” look. Except at the very bottom of the legs of flared jeans. Then I like a little bit of fray. I also feel like if you have ANY bulge on your belly, that button fly will pull at every button. Just like a blouse that’s to tight across the bust! And finally the length. I’m 5’3” and I usually have a problem finding jeans that don’t need to be hemmed. But those look like “high waters” which is way worse to me! Can’t wait for the next video! Happy Shopping 🛍️
I love a white pant but I always end up with something on them so I don’t wear them often. The only thing on these I don’t like is the button fly. That’s a deal breaker since I have arthritis in my hands.
Oooh those white jeans would be perfect for me because of the rise but I hate the distressing!!! I would not buy them just because of the distressing and the raw hemline.
Hi Theresa well I tried some pants from Walmart a couple of months ago and I didn't get them because of the same problem you're having with those white ones and no I've never had pants with buttons thanks for sharing😁😍🥰🤩💛🧡🖤🤟🤟
New subscriber here and have to say I love your videos! So informative and easy to find items! Thank you for all your hard work to make our life easier!
Great video today!! And I'm also a big NO on the white, distressed jeans!!! Who thought the distressed look was a good idea?? It's beyond me! BTW, your hair looked so pretty!
Love a button fly! Especially with a shorter top. I think they are very flattering. Don’t care for distressed or super high rise. As fae as distressed, then all the stores are getting rid of old merch because that’s about 80% of what I’m still seeing out there……along with skinny jeans. Please!
I am with you, I thought the distressed look was phasing out. I have jeans from previous years that have an ever so small distressed knee. I will wear them but not buy any new ones. I like the letdown and raw hems if subtle. I am 75 and like modern looks not fads.
Those white distressed jeans look cute on you, but I agree with you about the issues you have with them. If you have even a slightly big tummy, the button fly draws your eye right there. It also creates a bulge if you wear your top over the fly. The holes don't bother me too much, but I've always hated the raw hem. It makes a nice pair of jeans look unfinished. That's a trend I'll be happy to see end.
I brought home the Lee shorts in two sizes but returned both pairs. They did run small IMO. I did find a denim/trouser pair from Lee that fit so much better. As for button-fly, never for me. Tie front, knot front, etc is all outdated (again my opinion) I didn't like it a few years ago so it's not going into my closet now. I'm hoping to build a summer capsule which will make my life so much easier.
Hi Terri - thanks so much for watching and for your kind comments. The striped tee that I'm wearing hasn't hit the Walmart Website yet, but as soon as it does, I will add the link to the Description Box!
Love white jeans and white linen wide leg pants. Your capri rolled jeans are very outdated. Check out Miss Gold Girl, aka, Marnie Gold. She’s got it all right.
As a plus size woman, Walmart used to be one of my go to stores for clothes. The fabrics that are now being used are cheap and clingy. The styles look like they raided a clowns closet! I now shop resale for better fabrics and styles!
Hi Freda - thanks so much for watching and for your thoughtful comments. Although I can't comment on the quality of the Plus size clothing at Walmart, I have noticed over the last couple of years that the quality seems to be waning on the missy pieces. Too bad.
I love the flutter sleeve shirts on you! I was thinking about getting some, but you are right about the knot. Humm, what do you think? Are you keeping yours?? I also love the camisoles! But I would definitely need a blazer on top. Good content! Thanks, girlfriend XOXO Cheryl
I like Bermuda shorts, but I'm not seeing any at my store except in Plus sizes. I liked that first blouse you wore, but I'm not too sure about that gathering at the front waist. I like tops that have a little sleeve. Sometimes my upper arms get cool, and I have some loose skin on my upper arms, too. I found a pretty short-sleeved buttoned shirt a few days ago that came in two print colors that looked like leaves. One was in warm colors and the other was in blues.
I thought the same thing! altough the ombre pattern in STRIKING, I don't love that if creates a hard dark horizontal line. I'm fine with sleeveless tops personally, but I do realise they are not for everyone :)
I have distressed jeans, but they are my gardening/at home pants. I’ve never bought a pair. Hate them. Button fly? Recipe for bathroom emergency. I have enough trouble.
