It’s open house time and a family of four (and more) invites you in. Not just once, but four times. See how life has changed in this whimsical (semi-)musical. Join John (Jean Shepherd) as he takes you through the home and the latest luxuries of the time period. Do things always go as planned? Only one way to find out: progress! With music by Richard and Robert Sherman and George Wilkins, this show is sure to delight the young and the young at heart!
Sit back, relax, grab the popcorn, open a cold one, and enjoy Walt’s classic. If you love history, this is for you! If you love “A Christmas Story,” you’ll LOVE the Carousel of Progress!
Happy birthday, Walt!
Love,
The Carousel of Progress Club
**Nerd rant below**
First show in this video was hard to film, so i figured “ehhh, go around again.” I admittedly wanted to see how long I could go without changing seats and wanted to get good shots, so I chose Row 5 in the center because it’s under the speakers. It may look rough in some spots, but given the overall Character of the show, I’m given enough room to play with angles, shot types, rule of thirds, etc. As someone who LOVES filmmaking, this adds up to MORE creative freedom than I could ask for! So much so that I can record it and play around seeing what does and doesn’t work in terms of shots, composition, etc. If you’re a filmmaker or someone who enjoys recording videos, this attraction is something that will meet your difficulty level (easy/beginner to expert/experienced).
